Because we ain't winning the divison, dipsh*t.

Beat Houston, hope the West champ is as high-profile as possible for the East champ.

At this point I just wish people would attend games and cheer our Tigers, and the ones that do attend, not exit their seats the second it starts raining.

The Tigers needed our home support, and fans just walked out on them in the 2nd half like a little puppy that can't get it's little paws wet. Right when the Tigers needed our fan support the most, we abandoned them like a little wet puppy.

The one thing I don't want to see above all else is a Mountain West Conference champ or Appalachian State playing in the NY6 slot instead of an American team. And that goes for every year. We can make another run at it next year. Let's just go to a bowl, benefit from the extra time and practices, and take our 3 losses like a man.

You don't know that?
Who the hell do you think you are god.

It's a game played for a reason?
You're an idiot if you care more about our conference getting a NY6 bowl rather than our Tigers bringing home an American Championship.

Trust me I want to see our conference secure that spot each year also.
But if our Tigers are the one to spoil it by winning the whole damn conference I could care less.

Very short-sighted in my opinion. We can not, REPEAT, CAN NOT reach the Peach. Not with 3 losses. Therefor, any bowl we go to will be an also-ran exhibition game. EVEN IF.. we win the conference. Our next TV deal, which will go a long way toward our stature in the college football landscape, is heavily dependent on the ability to show that our CONFERENCE is totally head and shoulders above all other G5s. Having Appalachian State in the Peach Bowl instead of Cincinnati or Houston, or Temple, or USF, or (gasp) UCF is not what we need right now. And if we win the conference, that's roughly what we will get.

That may be true in the AAC (it's only in its 6th season), but I think I remember several years in C-USA where divisions were won with a 6-2 record. No one has ever won any divisional championship in a 12 team conference that we have been involved in with a 5-3 record. I even checked C-USA after we left in 2012. It just doesn't seem to happen.

Pretty easy to see Navy losing 2 or 3 more games, and Tulane losing at least 2 more (at Houston and USF). Probably too far back to catch Houston, but there's a reason they call it "Coogin it". Things could get a little interesting if UH loses in Annapolis on Saturday.

It's actually not far fetched at all to win the west.

Going to be in interesting 6-7 weeks for those of us who care about the conference the Tigers are in.

I guess we should hope for Navy to beat Houston, since Cincy & UCF will likely take care of them, then we would only need USF to beat Houston before we have our shot at them.

That thud you just heard was the football season hitting the ground after the knockout punch today.

Nah. 8-4 is still within reach, and with a rookie QB and the rash of defensive injuries we've suffered, that should be seen as quite successful. Yeah, we had the "bad loss" to Tulane, but none of the other 3 should have been unforeseen. We got stomped at UCF last year early and went on to have a good year.

Houston is a 7.5 pt favorite at home against #21 USF.
Tulsa is a 2 pt favorite at home against Tulane.
Cincy is a 9 pt favorite at SMU.

Yeah, it was a long shot but was fun to figure out a scenario even w/ 3 losses. UH losing at Navy would've meant only needing them to get upset once at home. Don't think they'll lose to both USF and Temple at home.

Let's just try to win out, get a bowl win and finish 9-4.
