I have to preach that daily. Please... please use complete thoughts and write your information so that anyone in the department can come in behind you and run with it. Cryptic navy acronyms that mean nothing to the other 8 people that weren't in the navy or shorthand you've made up because you're too lazy to type 5 more letters infuriates me.

Ha. No worries. I am just in a mood about that issue because I spent all day interviewing people yesterday and half of them could not write a simple paragraph that wouldn't embarrass our company.
LOL. I recently saw a resume where under skills it listed "attention too detail."

RE: Spring Training Starts Tuesday
Even I laugh when I notice errors in papers, reports, and articles. I’m terrible at grammar. Grammar has always been my achilles heel. Coming from a home with a mother who spoke and wrote broken English didn’t help my cause. Education was not of primary importance to my folks. A professor and mentor along the way gave me a tip to hire a proofreader for my business endeavors. I’ve had a loyal virtual assistant that is great at correcting my confusion when it comes to business correspondence.
If I had to guess the readability of this its probably 6th grade material. If not I blame the Virginia LPT "Literacy Passport Test" for passing me along!!!

Haha. I have one in front of me that says "Needless to day, I am extremely detail oriented".

that's horrible luck. Poor kid should be able to get Medical Redshirt though. Sucks to have redshirted last year and prob medical redshirt this year.

If I had to say at the current moment after watching the spring game I'd say we'd be a repeat of last year. Luckily for us we still have 4 months to grow and make gains in the offseason.

RE: Spring Training Starts Tuesday
With the schedule we have this year I can see it being a nine-win season.
Sep 01 at Liberty W
Sep 08 FIU W
Sep 15 at Charlotte W
Sep 22 Virginia Tech L
Sep 29 at East Carolina W
Oct 06 at Florida Atlantic L
Oct 13 Marshall L
Oct 20 at WKU W
Oct 27 Middle Tennessee W
Nov 10 North Texas W
Nov 17 VMI W
Nov 24 at Rice W
These are the six teams we just should beat: Liberty, FIU, Charlotte, ECU, VMI and Rice.
Last year we played a solid game but lost on the road to North Texas. This year we have them at home, and I see that as a winnable game. That's seven wins.
Western Kentucky is likely to struggle in a down year. It's a little bit of a toss-up, but I think we take the Hilltoppers this year. That's eight wins.
We get Marshall and MTSU at home, and I see them both as games that could go either way. We could win both, or we could lose both. I took the win over the Raiders. That's nine wins.
With losses to Virginia Tech, Florida Atlantic and Marshall, we end the season at 9-3. It's definitely a rebound year.

Some positive talk on our FCS coach.
QB play will be better than last year (particularly the beginning of last year), it will depend on how much better.

RE: Spring Training Starts Tuesday
Pretty good review IMHO. Even though the spring game offense did not look like a dynamo, there were several very encouraging signs. The increased use of the tight end could present a whole new dimension to the O. Running game should be more than satisfactory, line looks improved.
Certainly not locking Williams in as the starter based on Arnold's spring game performance. The only thing that concerns me about Drayton is his penchant to tuck it and run. Not sure how durable he'll be.
7-8 wins and a bowl.

ODU has a lot of problems they need to fix from last year and they lost their best offensive weapon in Ray Lawry. I don't expect a huge leap from Steven Williams this year. It will come down to the O-line and TEs. If they step up their game, ODU has a shot to win 7 games. If not, its probably a 5 win season.

Based on anything in particular?

I expect Williams to be bigger stronger faster and more comfortable with "The Situation". He gets Duhart back a great receiver back. I believe Williams will do what he needs to do to win. I predict he will have some very long runs and passes and will make for exciting football again and a bowl appearance. Defense should be strong.

Duhart thrived on Washington's sideline back shoulder pass. I've yet to see Williams able to make that throw. The key this year is the ability to spread the ball around, and of course, avoid injuries. We also need a pass catching tight end who can control the middle of the field. Our ability to pass is what is going to take us to the next level.

From what I saw at the spring game, Keion White fills that bill. Only question is whether or not BW calls his number. Sure hope so. This kid could be a real difference maker.

I remember Duhart catching a really nice pass in the middle of the field against 2 North Carolina State defenders in the end zone at Old Dominion. I fell pretty sure whatever he thrived on he can catch the ball all over the field. He isn't a one trick pony catcher.

I wish I could be that optimistic. I don't see winning road games at ECU and WKU, I'd be thrilled with seven wins.

The Spring Game. I'm not saying he won't be improved, but he's not going to be David Washington next season. Not even close. In order to beat good defensive teams next year, ODU must run the ball like they did two years ago.
