Wichita is losing a lot, Houston is losing a lot, Cinci is losing a lot (But I am sure they will reload).

UCF is the one team that will likely come back stronger who is ahead of us currently.

But if he doesn't recruit a couple of guys to fill our holes it is highly unlikely.

I agree 100%. If we can fill a couple of holes we’ll be an NCAA bubble team next year.

I just don’t get the gloom and doom.

The doom and gloom is for 2019-2020 as who do we have in the pipeline to replace the following that will graduate (IF they are all still here next season)?

Jeremiah Martin
Malik Rhodes
Kyvon Davenport
Raynere Thorton
Kareem Brewton, Jr.
Mike Parks, Jr.

Another complete rebuild with Tubby at the helm of that recruiting?

Transfers out is another factor for consideration given the high transfer rate occurring last year under Tubby. Martin, for example, maybe eligible for grad transfer.

Irregardless, as we say in the English department, the outcome is the same.

Tubby could announce early retirement and I'd be singing, "Here Comes the Sun"!

Wut?

Tongue in cheek. A favorite aphorism of a college professor of mine.

It should not be a surprise. Tubby has earned only one NCAA Tourney win in the past ten (soon to be 11) years. Tubby lately specializes in losing seasons (two out of past four full seasons) and mediocrity .

RE: Tubby - Challenge for Top Spot in AAC Next Year
The point some are trying to make is we may be one of the top teams in our conference next year. Over the past few decades, Tiger Basketball has never compared itself to the other members in our conference. We have always determined success by how we are viewed at a national level. In a majority of those years by finishing among Top 25 in the polls. If we do that, the other things will then take care of themselves (i.e. getting into the tournament, advancing to the Sweet 16 every few years, etc.). In the past, being one of the top teams in our conference has never been a goal for this program. Should we now make this our goal for the future?

I don’t see why we couldn’t compete for a title next year.

It's uncanny.

Do you think he knows he's doing it?

Or has it become second nature?

I thought the goal of the MEMPHIS TIGERS has always been a NATIONAL championship.....not simply a league title.... lowing our expectations .

He was thrilled to come in 6th in AAC with last year's talent. Now he thinks we'll compete for 1st in AAC w/current roster plus current recruits.

Does he already know that we're bringing in Penny and his crew?03-lmfao
