Only video I can find so far, throws 2 picks. I don’t think anyone has enough information on any of our QBs to name an honest front runner. We are all going with secondary reports and high school rankings /statistics. Spring game will be worth showing up to.

I agree with you Frank and Dan a real world view not handing the position over to someone based on paper performances
No one is handing Wiegers the job.
If I could go total geek on your guys I'd give MY SUBJECTIVE odds on each candidate (which I won't do publicly).
Wiegers has to be the big favorite to win the job. Everything I've read out of Iowa suggests he is a Big Ten-caliber quarterback.
If Grissom, a freshman, beats out a BIG-caliber QB, hey that is great. Love to have him for four years at the helm.
That said, I would not compare a MAC frosh QB to a 3 year QB at Iowa.
I am NOT downplaying any other recruit. I think there are QBs on our roster who can play at the MAC level.
What I'm suggesting is that Wiegers has a chance to be a top tier MAC QB. I believe Grissom, in due time, can also be a top tier MAC QB.
I look forward to watching both play at EMU.
As some have suggested the top QBs (plural) at many B1G schools can end up on NFL rosters. Being a backup QB at OSU, MI, Clemson, Alabama, Fl State, etc. is no sin. Many are an injury away from being a starter at the highest levels.
BTW, I DO trust things like those B1G school 'rag sheets.' Most of them are written by people who REALLY know what they are talking about. If they say Wiegers was neck and neck with Stanley, that's good by me.
