I don't understand this hire, don't get me wrong, I don't know crap about this guy, but wow that was quick. Why didn't UCF take just a little bit longer to make sure they were getting the right guy?

well i guess they're judging him on his time at missouri and figured he learned something from his oklahoma demotion and has improved.

hopefully he works out and lincoln riley works out so we're not completely following the scott frost playbook in another 2 years.

As with any new coaching hire, only time will tell if it's a good or bad one. But a tip of the hat to your AD, Danny White. He clearly runs a very tight ship - this word didn't get out until it was essentially done. And, if Sumlin really did try to keep UCF as a fallback while waiting to hear about other jobs like Oregon, then good for White that he put a stop to that in a hurry. I've been really impressed with White so far in just about every thing he's done.

I don't understand the hire either...but I have no reason to distrust our AD yet so I figure we have to give him the benefit of the doubt. I guess we'll see!

We assumed some risk with Frost when we hired him. Looks like we're assuming a little more risk this time. Hopefully it pays off.
