2. Andrew Lawson listed as No. 1 TE

They did this last season at FAU with Tyler Compton. The 300 pound TE added some extra blockage for David Washington last year.

We need to find ways to get Harper the ball.

+1.

Harper has been the most productive receiver. Once he gets the ball, good luck catching him!

Fulgham has been the most productive WR by a long shot.

He has the most catches, the most yards (by over 100 yards) and almost the most yards per reception. There is no argument on who has been the most productive.

Though, Vaughn looked really good, but needs to keep it going.

How can you even argue over who has been the most productive when neither player averages 3 catches a game and we as a team can't even complete 50% of our passes? It's kind of pointless.

Maybe with all the receiver drops and oline maybe the issues was never the QB faults. From the first game of the season receivers dropped balls and gave up on their routes. 07-coffee3

Yes.
Additionally there is the factor of drops, and missed reads/routes.
The coaches are in a better position to assess missed reads and wrong routes. but drops have been an issue going all the way back to Bentley.

Bc we have had one WR have any resemblance of production and is clearly outperforming every other one on the roster. There is no reasonable argument for who has been our most productive WR.

Wilder said on WAVY TV tonight that Lawry, Rotimi, and Appouh would all be back for Marshall. He mentioned another player, but I don't remember who it was. I think another defense who has been out for 3 weeks.

The Marshall offense is balanced and effective. Don't let the Charlotte game fool you. Despite the score, Marshall rolled up over 400 yards.

Vs FAU, Marshall is a better matchup as they are a bit stronger in the air than on the ground. However, we will not be able to "cheat" on defense.
Marshal D is a bit better vs the run, but again reasonably well balanced.

Marshall was competitive statistically with NC State.

They are not a great team, but a sound one.

We will not be run over like with FAU, but the Marshall defense is better

Herd fan here. This is a pretty solid assessment of our team. Our defense is fast, athletic and likes to hit but can be susptible to the big play as they get a little over aggressive. Especially our safetys, play action can be effective as those two sophomores are itching to come up and hit somebody in run support. Luckily, our run defense has been so good we've not allowed teams to really catch us off guard too often forcing teams to throw the ball in obvious throwing situations.

Offensively we have moved the ball in every game but aside from the Cincy game we've failed to capitalize on many drives. We only start 1 senior on that side of the ball, our TE and all three of our starting WRs are in their first year as starters so there are some consistency issues. If we ever get the consistency thing figured out we could go from solid to pretty good. We've missed three FGs inside of 40 yards and threw an interception in the end zone against both NC State and Miami of Ohio. Against Charlotte we got inside the 30, six times and scored just twice. Fortunately, our defense has been good enough for the most part for our offense to have those missed opportunities and still win.
