For some reason I feel they will give us payback for last year. With our Bowl hopes at risk....it sure would help if we can steal this one.
Anybody catch any of thier game with Charlotte? Them only scoring 14 points was pretty surprising.
Charlotte played defense. We don't play defense. Marshall will pay us back from last year as well.
They will run the ball at will....at least they should until we prove we can stop the run, which I seriously question
I think ODU puts up a much better effort this week.
All teams will run right through our arm tackling! Doesn't matter if we start Williams, LaRussa, Hoy or even Heinike will will not score the 60 points required to win!
Charlotte held Marshall to 14. What do you think the over/under for their points scored against us should be. I was thinking 24 to 28 and I would still take the over.

They will run over us just like FAU and if we adjust to stop the run Litton is a better passers than Driskel.
Defensively we match up better with Marshall. FAU has one of the best run offenses in the nation. Marshall is more balanced. Not saying we will hold them to 14 points. Just that we won't give up 58 points and 500+ yards to them.

Also, you could just tell the speed at which they played was just killing us early. Somehow I just dont get why we were not better prepared for that. Our guys were gassed mid way of the first quarter and really didnt get much penetration all game.

Well statistically, they do now. 05-stirthepot
You guys just don't get it! You can watch films and prepare all you want to but if you can't execute it doesn't matter! How do you prepare for ball carriers dragging defensive players 5-10 yds after contact? You can't tackle by stepping aside and reaching for the ball carrier. You meet them head on and put your shoulder into their gut! This is just basic fundamental football and we don't have it and at this level you can't train it. What in the hell are the coaches looking at when they recruit these unprepared olayers?
I went to a huge fundraiser in Va. Beach tonight. One of the items up for bid in the silent auction was 4 tickets + tailgating.to our next home game.... of the 20 items up for bid this was the only one that had no bids...

What were the other items and who was bidding?
We need to add the play that the Bears used for a 2 point conversion on MNF. Great play for a lot of deception with a mobile quarterback. I've never seen any play like that.

BW is back at growing his beard. It's a sure win for us.
16½ point underdog.

I hope Williams get better with each game.

If Williams is ineffective, look for Wilder to keep him in the game instead of giving someone else a chance. Wilder's just interested in Williams' progression and nothing else.

I think Marshall rolls.

Marshall 38
ODU 17
Having time to rethink the FAU game, and not being in the heat of the moment. If you were to make a list of the players we lost from last year, and add Ray Lawry and Duhart I believe everyone would agree, this would be considered a rebuilding year.
New depth chart is out. Some curious things:

1. Eri'eon Hayes is no. 1 WR ahead of Fulgham. I guess too many drops by Fulgham.

2. Andrew Lawson listed as No. 1 TE

3. Lawry still off the depth chart, but I assume he plays
So Davison has beaten out Garcia for now, meaning Lawson will be the 6th OL/ TE (though he prolly never runs a pattern)

Surprised on Hayes,he really hasn't seen a ton of action.

Starter is listed as Cox or Sinclair....hmmm.

Rotimi looks back.
No Rotimi or Appouh against Marshall. That hurts. Saving them to be fully ready for WKU.
