No...it's not. That's the common referred to measure that we've used each month for years now, and it's fairly consistent and accurate. But it's only one measure released each month by the BLS.

If you want the other measures, they publish those too and you're free to go peruse them.

Remember back when Reagan was president that the narrative was the good jobs were being replaced by McJobs. So...

No, it's actually not; but I agree it all's they got so it can be compared to previous results. However in no way shape or form is it an accurate account of the true unemployment rate.

It was a crap jobs report, that's what it was.

This article is 2 years old, but it documents that the Obama economy was being fueled by low wage job growth.

That's great and all, but the number in and of itself is meaningless without more thorough analysis. Labor participation rate? Quality of jobs being replaced? Gov't assistance numbers today vs pre-recession levels? See how the "most transparent president in American history" uses obfuscation and subterfuge to pretend the economy is great when it's really - not?
