Obama: Wealthy Americans Are “Society’s Lottery Winners”.....
Demands Redistribution As Basic Tenet
Pull this one out and show it when people deny he is all about redistribution.
Never has there been a clearer statement of take from the ‘rich’, whatever can they do with all that money, and give to others, ‘to be fair’. The ‘rich’ are “society’s lottery winners” and not entitled to what they earned.
It’s never about bringing others up, but always about penalizing the successful to grab more for government.
RE: Obama: Wealthy Americans Are “Society’s Lottery Winners”.....
So, all the wealthy people just won the "lottery". Is he just totally dismissing the hard work and sacrifices that most of those people made in order to make something of themselves. Honestly, that has to be one of the dumbest things he's ever said.

From his perspective, yes. Rich folks were lucky to have the right parents, connections, temperament and inspiration to get to such heights.
RE: Obama: Wealthy Americans Are “Society’s Lottery Winners”.....
In a sense he's right, but not for the reason he suspects. The rich are getting richer because of government policy. This administration, and most recent administrations, have engaged in reverse robin hood policies, e.g. quantitative easing.
RE: Obama: Wealthy Americans Are “Society’s Lottery Winners”.....
Obama wants those that work hard to give their rewards of that hard work to his legion of no work deadbeats. Why work when you don't have to. Screw Obama and his fellow Comrades.
RE: Obama: Wealthy Americans Are “Society’s Lottery Winners”.....
My own story. I grew up in a working class neighborhood of South Buffalo. My father, who was born in Germany and immigrated at age 4, didn't graduate from grade school. My mother stayed at home and raised 4 kids.
I was the first of my family to graduate college, while working full time in a steel mill. Then got an MBA. Worked as a consultant and was hired to manage a company. After 20 years, took a bank loan to buy a business that I spent 25 years of 60-70 hour weeks to grow. Sold it when I turned 68.
I'm now quite wealthy.
Yeah, I won the lottery.

I don't know of anyone who has said that Obama isn't about redistribution of wealth.
Every politician is for redistribution of wealth. Either from rich to poor or poor to rich.
Why would anyone act as if this is some sort of a surprise?

Wait, what? Please don't tell me you think that tax cuts are somehow taking from the poor and giving to the rich....

you obviously should walk around poor neighborhoods and start handing out your money. You obviously have plenty of money. You don't need it all.....

Well, how do Republicans usually pay for tax cuts when they decide to? By cutting social programs for the poor.

and the democrats would rather just sell a tax increase that doesn't even impact the amount of spending they want.
Both sides are, for the most part, looking to cover their own ass and keep themselves in office so they can live well while nothing really changes for a majority of the country. The democratic party has proven it is no better at helping out lower income cities and families.

Yes you did. You were lucky enough to be born in the greatest country in the world. If that isn't winning the lottery, I don't know what is.
