Yep. Wofford and Furman are a great example of schools that are a perfect fit for FCS. They won't and should never leave FCS.

The whole thread was about FBS move up targets. UTA and UALR aren't in that discussion. No one is trying to say you aren't part of the conference for non-football sports.

The thread is about EKU moving into the SBC, in all sports, not just football. Their FB would move up to FBS, but the rest would still be D1.

I will state it again: I think our best options for expansion are:

1. UTA football (already a member)
2. Missouri State (They just announced a stadium expansion and other facilty upgrades)

3. Florida Gulf Coast (should announce football intentions next year and ready to play by 2017)

4. Kennesaw State

5. UNF (will have to add football after FGCU announces football. It would be the only university in state without football.

Small private schools have no place in the Sun Belt. I loved paying both of those schools back in the day but we have outgrown that. Savannah St? Really? I see no viable options for HBCU schools to move to FBS. The best two candidates would be Jackson St and South Carolina St and I don't believe for a second they would really be interested or have the real funds to do it.

Another option would be to go 14 with all three coming on board. This Way Missouri State could join with no movement in the West and tighter foot print in the East. I'm not sure if the savings in travel would offset adding two extra mouths to feed however.

Savannah St. is just a trainwreck. They change head coaches every year or two and the headlines down here is South Georgia are full of embarassing stories about Savannah St.
