Toledo probably does not want to play this game at all, these types of games can happen when there is nothing to play for

They are playing for a bowl. With Mississippi State and taking another bowl game away, they need to distinguish themselves.

B/c whoever doesn't win the east has 7 wins, ball state has 10, Ohio could have 7. They need those 8 wins

Does it really matter though? I would think its a wash in the SoS calculations since we played both Toledo and Akron ... One is going to get a W and one is going to get an L.

Akron is definitely an improving team. Hell, they had two drives they could've tied the game late in 4Q at Huskie Stadium.

IF Toledo loses, Fresno fans are going to use it as ammunition. "NIU struggled, and Akron whipped them." They'll also question the Computer rankings even more - because to them, Toledo is the only reason we moved up in polls last week and has nothing to do with our other opponents or other teams in front of us.

So, in that sense, I'd much rather see Toledo win.
