Playing for a bowl in my mind is kind of like playing for nothing these days.

NIU won by 18. They struggled because the kicking game sucked.

Yah, but we all know voters and AP doesn't keep that in mind. We supposively got 'demolished ' by FSU last year even though we were down by 7 going into 4th Q.

A Toledo win probably is better for us just in the eyes of the voters. Probably doesn't matter much for computers.

The whole reason Andy Staples from SI wrote that piece about NIU being better than Fresno for his power rankings this week is because Fresno fans trolled him on twitter after he didn't have the Bulldogs ranked at all. Had they not done that, he probably wouldn't have written it.

Akron plays up to teams. They looked pretty fired up when playing us too, and their defense was all over the place. Definitely better than their record.
