Nice addition for New Mexico State!

Me gusta!! We played in it about 3 years ago. Knocked off #6 Miami and got to the championship game losing a nail biter to USC.
Last team added... Northern Iowa

Possible look at WAC conference schedule.

What's disappointing is that it only gives us one chance at accomplishing the only thing that matters.

But otherwise it's not bad.
That's what a conference bigger than 10 or 11 at most gets you. Unless you only want to play conference opponents, which unless one of your conference teams makes the final four every year will lower the conference ranking. You don't get home and home with everyone.

It’s a divisional arrangement-play everyone in your division home and away and play those in the opposite division either home or away. While it might affect seeding for the tournament the one thing that matters is tournament performance rather than regular season play .

That said, I’m not too happy to be playing both powerhouse teams from the other division-NMSU and Grand Canyon- away.

Sorry for not explaining better....Pojo knew what I meant.

The only thing that matters to us is defeating one particular team from the Land of Enchantment. Seeing the fear and desperation on their faces as the clock runs down and they realize their day of reckoning has finally come. Seeing Jans face go from flushed to red to deep purple. Seeing their shock and dismay as the buzzer sounds and they have fallen short. Seeing them trudge back to the locker room hanging their heads.

Once we get that we can retire from D-I sports and spend the money on landscaping or something.

I think playing both NMSU and GCU away in one year will be the norm given that we’ll probably be paired together as travel partners. Makes sense if you’re already in Las Cruces or Phx to go to the other and get that game done too.

I get it. I just don’t like our conference home schedule as much during years when we play both away.

You know this is accurate with NMSU starting the conference season on the road.
It’s it basketball season yet? The schedule looks good. Now we ALL need to do our part and take care of business on the OOC schedule.
