What did 93 do? I thought he said to Tanq, "you are being dense", which I think implies being intentionally dense, since it is clear Tanq is not dense. But let's hear your take on what the argument is all about.
I learned over 65 years ago not to use the word "moron", from my mother. she said it was impolite. There was a genre of joke popular back then call "little moron' jokes. Ten years after that, we called the same jokes "Aggie" jokes.
In any case, calling somebody dense is, IMO, offensive. Notice the I, and the M, and especially the O? But I can see where the usage would be attractive in these discussions here on the Quad. It's the reason we have the 
emoji. which I am tempted to use right now.
I think I shall go back to watching the density fights rather than being a participant.
It's definitely not nice to call someone dense or saying they're being intentionally dense - but it's not an uncommon occurrence here, unfortunately. I think it's not uncommon because most view it as a temporary state of someone in an argument - akin to calling them stubborn or dug in. But that's my opinion on it, and why I'm much less offended by that slander than one attacking someone's inherent intelligence.
I don't think it's the same level of insult as calling someone on this board a moron, but that was just the kind of attack levied by another poster recently (which maybe you missed, and why you didn't get my stirring the pot comment).

And after prompting that he was hopping straight into the ad hom realm. And then after some nifty dancing footwork about the inclusion of the the magic words of 'I believe you are' as some panacea to that -- which is a complete garbage time excuse.
