Not doubting you, but if the coach is in the bag (sorry, Ted) does that render the Thursday ODAF "ask" moot? Might they already have agreed on salary for the HC? I like that they appear to be moving fast; I think it sends a message to fans that they're serious about getting this turned around and re-injecting some life into things.

I dont know financials. They may have already raised the money. I just have heard possibly Friday/Saturday. Which makes sense depending on what happens tomorrow.

But, I agree that if the new coach is actully working this week, a Friday announcement would not make sense. If the coaches season is already done, its moot point.

As with the Wilder deal, nothing is ever final........till its final.

The Head FB coaching job is not listed at ODU's website. Therefore, it does not have to follow state guidelines. So an announcement could be made any day.

If it had been listed as a state job, no hiring could me announced until after the posting period ended.

We have several people from the school who post here who could maybe share some light if I'm incorrect.

IM unfamiliar with how that works. I know there are coaches that have applied for the job so it's certainly listed somewhere.

This has come up before. It can be deemed something like an "emergency hire" and they can circumvent that. They will later go back and post it or something.

Yes, there are recruits supposed to come in this weekend.......For the time being, the assistants are running the show.
