Yeah, probably a factor of our RPI. Who would have ever thought that it would drop while sweeping Rice?
I'd like to just keep winning until they can't ignore us. True for every sport, but especially baseball.
Down 4-1 in the 7th to Princeton. All runs scored in the first inning.
We tied it in the 8th.....still batting.
Now up 7-4 and still batting in the 8th.
Now up 10=4 in the 8th and still batting (that's 9 runs in the 8th with 1 out)
13 runs scored in the 8th. Now up 14-4 and 3 outs away from win #16.
To go along with quite a bit of talent, this team has a lot of fight.

I believe 6 wins after being down in the 6th.
ODU completes the two game sweep of Princeton winning 7-1. The Monarchs are now 17-4.

Last year we started off 18-4, then crapped the bed during conference play. Hopefully we can keep the momentum going and have a better showing this year.
The real test is coming up. They go on the road for real for the first time all season this weekend. All the way to UTSA.

Love the youth on this team too! Vinnie Pasquantino is going to be a stud 1B for ODU (batting .400 so far this season with 9 doubles, 13 RBI) and John Wilson is 4-0 with a 2.57 ERA, 18K in 28 innings. Both are true freshmen, and there is solid contribution from the other freshmen as well that are getting regular playing time - Kyle Battle (CF) and Corey Klak (LHP).
UTSA is 10-9 (1-2), but they do have a win over #3 Texas Tech. Hoping the Monarchs can take at least 2 out of 3 in San Antonio.
Love that there is a dude at the UTSA game in an ODU shirt today!
