Glad to see Hilland on a roster at least for now and that a number of the other guys are getting a shot. To be honest though, I don't know a ton about the odds of people who are invited to mini-camps. If some of these guys don't make it, do you all think some may end up going to Canada/Europe?

Is Grimes officially retired? Always thought he would have killed it in the CFL.

Tre McBride having a strong camp

The Jets signed Tre McBride to their practice squad in December 2017. He later signed a reserve/future deal in January 2018.
McBride came into camp knowing he’d be close to last on the wide receiver depth chart. There are about eight or nine players in front of him. Knowing he needs to be flawless, McBride turned some heads, per The Athletic’s Connor Hughes:
The third-year wideout from William & Mary is catching virtually everything thrown his way. He’s not all that big (6-0, 210) or fast, but his attention to detail gets him open.
McBride has also been part of the quartet that is returning kicks and punts. adding to his value.
Even with a strong camp, though, McBride is still a long shot to make the team. He will need injuries and some breaks to find his name on the 53-man roster come Week 1, but he has a shot of sticking on the practice squad.

Grimes never got an opportunity he deserved. I do agree that CFL will be a good playground for him.

Grimes made pretty good money in the NFL compared to other kids who graduated with him at William and Mary and went into regular jobs. Canada pays very little and if I'm him, I'd either hang around trying to get an NFL shot or hang it up. No sense in going north of the border to get very little in pay and risk permanent brain injury. Next big moment for him and the Tribe should be a Hall of Fame induction.
