I wouldn't be surprised to see his name show up in Philly. With one round of hirings in the books, they might be willing to wait.
They are going with KC OC Pederson.

Several reports tonight have the Eagles hiring Chiefs OC Doug Pederson.
Any teams remaining for McDermott? Appears he's shut out again this season from head coaching job despite awesome performance as Panthers' DC for several years.
He cannot interview until Carolina's season is done. TN HC has an opening and Detroit might if they fire current HC Caldwell. McDermott is not linked to these two teams although it could change.

He could have (and may have) interviewed during their bye week last week. If they make it to the Super Bowl, I believe the same scenario is possible.
No nfl head coaching openings any more

Sick of this happening to McDermott. Two years in a row now--more or less punished for being on/coaching a good team. Makes him less available than the coaches who are at home on their couches. 03-banghead
Sure, but also he's not going to a poorly run franchise that has to hire a coach immediately rather than wait for candidates from the best teams to become available. McDermott's defense is putting a hurt on the Seahawks today.
No worries for McDermott. As the Panthers keep winning, his resume gets better. His turn will come.
And you know we've had some very successful ex Indians who have been basically career coordinators including Charlie Sumner (although he did get a head coaching job in the USFL) and Larry Pecatiello (not coordinator the whole time).

Being a career coordinator may in some ways be a better situation. No huge headaches, stay out of the media, etc. Sure, you could be a success as a head coach, but most of the time the good head coaching jobs are held by good head coaches. It is the crappy jobs that keep turning over. The fact that the Steelers took a chance on Tomlin is still amazing to me and just shows how much they must of thought of him. It speaks highly of W&M too, I think.
I am sure Sean will get his chance soon. It was a total domination by Carolina defense against Seattle today especially in the first half. If I have to choose, I will have Carolina going all the way.
Leach is retiring

Yeah I just heard the same on the NFL Network. Congrats to Mike on a fine 15 year career.
Maybe he will move to the Berg & be the LS coach !
Or Tight Ends coach. He was damn good here. I always thought he had a chance to be a good H-Back in the pros, but then every team moved away from that position.

I think he has the longest pro career for any Tribe player. Anyone who knows if this is true, please confirm or deny.

Leach was actually 16 years in the NFL from 2000-2015

Looks like Christie was in the NFL for 15 years and then CFL for 1

He who will not be mentioned was in the NFL for 14 years
I believe Mike already owns property in Williamsburg and has always planned to return after retiring.
Coach Leach?
Let's make him the athletic director
