Lissemore had a shoulder injury that cost all of 2016. It must have been pretty severe. He had a visit with Atlanta few months ago, but I guess it did not work out. Lissemore, Webb, and Grimes need to find a new team. Good luck to all of them.
Tribe head coaches did well this week.

Steelers with Tomlin beat Cleveland 21-18
Bills with McDermott beat Jets 21-12
Here is a really cool look in at McDermott's postgame locker room speech. He is a great leader who seems like he has the team behind him.

I don't think you can call beating the Browns and Jets by a combined 12 points "doing well".

+1 to that. I hope he gets to keep coaching after they're done tanking.
1-0 = doing well

Luke Rhodes did OK as Colt's LS. HOF PK Vinateri missed a FG and a PAT but it was on Vinateri. Unfortunately, his team got embarrassed by LARams 46-9.
Bears lost their number one receiver yesterday (Kevin White). McBride will probably be active next week.
Kevin White must be made of glass. Think this is the 3rd year in a row he has suffered a season-ending injury early in the season
BW Webb auditioned for Sean McDermott's Buffalo Bills.
Jonathan Crimes worked out for Washington Redskins.

Odd because the skins just extended their 3rd down back.

That post badly needs an edit. Jonathan has a different last name and needs a different team than the Redskins.

Of course any fan from Texas might associate Redskins and Crimes automatically.
I don't think the Redskins are happy with their backs in general in relation to playing special teams, and there has been lots of press here lately about Thompson playing more on first and second downs, so maybe they are actually in the market for a third down back and are going to cut Mack Brown.
I'd like Jon to latch on with any team for obvious reasons, and because he must be close to meeting the minimal requirements for the golden ticket for NFL players, a pension at 55 yo.

DHC was promoted to Bear's active roster.
Philly tried to sign DHC from Chicago's PS, so Chicago promoted DHC to active roster.

The Eagles attempted to sign defensive back DeAndre Houston-Carson off the Bears‘ practice squad, but Chicago promoted Houston-Carson to its active roster instead, reports Rich Campbell of the Chicago Tribune (Twitter link). Houston-Carson, 24, appeared in eight games for the Bears a season ago, but rarely played on defense (just eight snaps). Instead, he spent most of his time on special teams, where he played on a quarter of Chicago’s snaps.
I still recall how he committed to W&M much earlier than most. No Twitter account, great leader, pk block artist. Chicago is lucky to have him.

It appears, at least to this point, that Grimes and Webb have not hooked on with any NFL team and that their careers in the NFL may very well be over. Have I missed something and, perhaps, they have gotten picked up by somebody?

BW I can sort of understand...he was never more than a bottom of the roster player in the NFL (though always one of W&M's most dynamic defensive backs who had one of the great games in the Tribe's 2009 memorable upset at UVA). But Grimes was a contributory and effective NFL halfback...a steady runner, excellent blocker for the QB, and a very good pass receiver out of the backfield; he never appeared to get the starting shot and I'm very surprised he didn't get signed by a team. For sure the NY Giants team I watched on tv Monday night could use him...their running backs haven't blocked any rusher yet!
BW Webb had a rather strong season with the Saints last tear when he was signed in September to provide depth. He ended up starting 8 games and set career highs for tackles and pass breakups (and one INT).

He couldn't make it out of Chicago's camp but I think he still has some game left. Who knows?
