Latech also had the better coach.
My opinion is La Tech opened the league race up last night with that win. UTEP was going to be difficult if they gained a split with La Tech as they play ODU just once and at home. Now four or five teams realistically have a shot at this thing.

ODU gets La Tech once, in Norfolk.

Why is LA Tech having to play ODU on the road 2 years in a row? LA Tech won 71-66 in Norfolk last year.

Bad La Luck?
ODU got a bad draw as well...Second straight season with a three game road trip to open the season. Another season of the dreaded UAB/MT back to back road swing. One game with UTEP, on the road.

I think just about every team is having to repeat a road stint due to the change in travel partners. ODU has to go back to UAB and MTU without a return game again.

Tech opens the conference slate with 3 road games also - against 2 top 4 teams from last year in UTEP and USM.
Definitely a big game coming up with the Hilltoppers today. It shapes up as a classic match with no clear-cut favorite. I'm hoping to see the Monarchs come home with a 3-0 road trip and a tighter grasp on our #25 ranking, but, boy, who is going to win this one is anybody's guess.

Keep them from starting 7/7 from 3 on you and you should cruise.

They have talent but they're an awful rebounding team. Odu should have an opportunity for a lot more possessions than wku.

The rebound margin was nuts in the game against you guys! But it was not the norm, we are normally a decent rebounding team. 69th nationally and 49ers was 109th And ODU is 59th. We had a weird game all around

.
Awful rebounding team based on one game?
61st in rebounds per game and 121st in offense rebounds per game out of 351 D1 teams is not exactly awful.
I love this UTSA announcer. You'd think Tech never bounces the ball as much as he says we travel.

UAB defeats FIU 70-53 , quietly 3-0 in CUSA after a terrible OOC start.
