Their record would be exactly the same as it is now. Maybe better because they could have beaten SDSU.

They're 5-2 now and their only losses were 1 play games against one of the best teams in the group of 5 and what looks like a pretty decent Boston College team.
I'm not sure what else you need to see.
Those qualify as good losses. But what are the good wins? Nebraska may go 6-6. Maybe. But I'm guessing 5-7. That's a decent win, but is a sub .500 big 10 team win what we count as good? EIU, kent, buff and BG don't really put a feather in your cap. I think this team is good. But I'll need to see Childers win a game when they need him before I start thinking MACC.
They will need him to beat EMU. This game is no gimme.

Follow @accessbowlmath on Twitter. Let's have a bit of fun for a few weeks.
We have a great team! With our offense, the Access Bowl and a Big 12 invite are just around the corner!
Did you buy your Big 12 T-shirt yet?
No, I am holding out until I get that Presbyterian College game day shirt I ordered!
Yours is at VCB in the dollar bin. They saved u a dozen.

Actually I wouldn't be surprised if Nebraska goes 7-5, with 3 of their losses to top 10 teams. Purdue, NW, MN, IA isn't a murderer's row; only NW is even .500 in B1G.
You're using the same argument for Nebraska that 7 did for NIU. Quality losses. Nebraska has no quality wins either. So There's no reason to think Nebraska is better than NW, MN, IA or Purdue because those teams all lost to OSU,wisc, penn st and MSU as well. Or each other. Nebraska and NIU both need a few more conference games to gauge where they're at. But I feel NIU is in better shape than Nebraska to finish. Neb goes 2-3. NIU goes 4-1
Don't get me wrong. The Nebraska win is a great historical victory. Just not sure it's a great measuring stick. Many here, myself included, hammered WMU for using its win over 6-6 NU as their marquee victory last season.
But WMU was undedeated. They scheduled the best they could and beat them all. When you have a loss then you start playing the coulda, shoulda games and hoping the other teams win-out.

How? Which game would they have lost? MAYBE Nebraska.
EIU was an easy win (EIU scored 10 points)
Kent was an easy win (Kent Scored 3 points)
Buffalo, Childers was terrible and they won in spite of him
Bowling Green, I think you could have played QB and still won.
Nebraska, Santa made one throw the entire game. I can see the argument Graham doesn't hit that throw (you're probably right), but who is to say Graham doesn't move the ball on another drive? For as bad as he was against BC, he still led the offense to 20 points.

This my point, we will never know; so you're not wrong. I agree with most of what you are saying; Graham may have been better than Santa throughout the Nebraska game; however, I do think that Santa is the only QB we have that can make that throw once we got down (quite frankly not many QBs, period, can make that throw). His 2nd pass to Blake on that same drive was also very impressive. I am not sure any QB we have can make the throws necessary to come back against SDSU; the rebuttal to that is poor decison making on the pick 6 contributed to the deficit. With Childers and the current offense, the key is not going down by more than two scores. It's kinda like a good triple option team back in the day. With our D and our schedule I don't think this happens for the rest of the season.

While its disappointing all the QB flip flops early in the year, at least the best QB is playing now, so at least thats some comfort, and some credit to Carey.

Hopefully we won't have to find out what effect Graham will have if he starts for the Huskies again. I like the kid but he was part of the problem last year not the solution. When Maddie took over for him, it was like night and day. When Santa took over for him, he and Huff erased a 21-0 deficit to beat EMU and Santa led us to a 3-game winning streak.

Sweet. I ordered a game day shirt with UT Martin on the back, and Cal Poly on the front. It'll be awesome.

I am not at all sure that the best QB is playing now but it doesn't matter. It is time to get behind Childers as he is now the starter.

you don't know that. He might be the best for our system, but you can't say he is the best QB. They're young without a lot of experience and they all have their strong points and talents.
