Looks good for AAC.
Sun Belt-only Troy 4-1 has less than 2 losses
MWC-only SDSU 6-0 has less than 2 losses
MAC-only Toledo 4-1 has less than 2 losses
CUSA-only Marshall 4-1 and UTSA 3-1 have less than 2 losses

So not only do few have a chance to get a really good record, they won't face other teams with really good records.

AAC-USF 5-0, UCF 4-0, Navy 5-0, UH 4-1, Memphis 4-1 so they have 5 serious candidates

RE: Pretty big weekend in the NY6 chase
MAC, Sun Belt, and CUSA champs have to be undefeated to get it, in my opinion.

MW - Boise's loss to Virginia is too bad for them. Otherwise, the loss at Wash St by 3 points (44-47) really doesn't look all that bad right now. So the conf's hopes rest on SD St going undefeated. SD St looks pretty good right now ...

And then of course the AAC champ is always going to be a front runner, unless it has 2 or more losses. Even then ...

Seems rather straightforward this year. San Diego St or AAC.

Yeah if SDSU does not beat Boise it's a matter of which AAC team will go. And even if they do beat Boise State SDSU will not have the schedule to overcome an undefeated AAC champ.

Especially if UCF and USF manage to go unbeaten until they play each other. I see UCF giving Navy it's first loss. Then them picking up another loss at ND.

1 loss, maybe even 2 loss AAC team always trumps 1 loss any of these other conferences.

It's AAC or SDSU at this point.

If the American yields an undefeated champ in UCF, USF, or Navy I think they are a lock for the NY6 slot.

San Diego St needs to win out and hope for a one-loss AAC winners.

IMHO UTSA, Marshall, Toledo, and Troy would need total chaos to get in

SDSU has the win over Stanford who will likely be top 25.

Like it or not, a win over a top 25 P5 team will trump everything. If SDSU runs the table, they're in.

If UCF goes undefeated, they will have a top 25 win vs Navy and a top 15, maybe top 10 win vs USF.....plus a lot stronger conference schedule. Memphis may be Top 25 by the end of the season too.
