Think about what you just wrote. Trust the administration?
Look how they handled football for YEARS. Look how long they left Opie at the helm.
Would this apply to Louisville fans? How about Penn State fans during the 'Sandusky' years?
Trust no one. Question everything.
This isn't trust in the sense of trusting your wife. But UM has a president, AD & coaching staff in place to perform certain jobs. I have no problems with Rudd or Bowen, so I do trust them based upon their performance to date to hire the best available MBB coach - and I give this coach 3-5 years to prove his value. Yes, based upon the performance of Rudd & Bowen, I trust their judgement to hire Tubby Smith. And BTW, we have to trust them unless "we" are in a position to make those hiring decisions.

We don't have to trust anything, we have to live with it.

A distinction without a difference when you don't make the decisions...use accept instead of trust, if that makes you feel better.

Accept is the same as trust for you? Bizarre even by your standards.

They have a sub-500 cumulative record over the past 3 years.
I'd hate to think that a program is on the verge of major sanctions, and has no NCAA bids to show for it.
Nah. Auburn fans don't care about basketball.

This really isn't that far-fetched. ADs won't want to gamble with cheating, given the current landscape. Honestly, I believe that was our rationale for hiring Tubby last year. Tubby is the ultimate "big name, safe bet" hire. There might be some looking. That being said, I don't see Tubby taking another job. I believe the Memphis job will be his last.
Memphis is where he wants to be.

Trust suits me fine, thank you. I suggested accept for you.......since you always have strong opinions on things you can't change or even influence.

And ultimately, they have to live with it and the follow-on consequences too.

Josh and Tubby have killed it. Like, as in, dead and buried.
how did you make it through the Rip and Tic years then? I mean, I've seen Memphis athletics way worse off before.

As long as Pearl ends up getting his ass canned at Auburn and / or they don't make the NCAA tournament again this season then you can get your jollies.
