No one is sold on a first-time HC, but I'll take our talent over yours any day even with a new HC.

UConn (2-10/0-8) 'It'll get worse before it gets better'

USF beats Memphis in the Champ game, 11-2 USF gets the Access Bowl...Memphis goes to Annapolis to play an ACC team...Houston goes to B'ham to play a SEC team...Tulsa goes to the Frisco Bowl...Navy goes to the Hawai'i Bowl...UCF goes to Boca Bowl...Temple goes to the St Pete Bowl...SMU goes to the Cure Bowl
just my guess.
If Houston goes 8-4 Applewhite is on the seat. Houston will bury Memphis at home.
Lol. What seat are you talking about? He's a new coach, and 9 wins got your last coach stolen last year. If he gets 8 wins in his first year, I'd start to worry about him finding a new, better seat.

RE: AAC Football Predictions
LOL at these 2-10 UCONN predictions. UCONN bottomed out last year at 3-9 under Diaco. We'll definitely be above that.
Also, beware USF (Week 2 in East Hartford). UCONN's been known to win games that they really shouldn't...

The expectations are 10 wins minimum with culture and talent we have.

The most talented rosters can be severely impacted by a lackluster HC...

Well make sure that your culture and talent don't get beat by UTSA again, or we're all going to laugh at you.
Sincerely, the guy whose team might very well lose to an FCS team in a few weeks.

Let them keep underestimating. It's nice proving everyone wrong with back to back division titles and a conference championship.
I think everyone expected Temple to be good the last two years, and they were. Confused as to who has underestimated them.
I do know any Temple fan who doesn't expect a pretty decent step back, at least this year, is being very naive. You lose all-world coach, 4 year starting QB, all-world MLB and 1st team AAC starting RB. That's just the most common ones I know about.
Hopefully your Florida DC turned HC will turn out better than ours did.

Exactly right which why is why 8-4 is unacceptable. It may be unreasonable but 10 wins minimum is the expectation and standard demanded by our University President and Chancellor of the Board of Regents.
Not trying to put pressure on the first year head coach but that's just the way it is.
Under achieving 2 years in a row would be really bad with a 5 star DT, 5 star QB, 4 star RB all starting.

Georgia State at a .244 winning percentage. Not sure that's relevant...

Avoiding the answer I see... Let's try AAC-only schools.

2015 we were picked 3rd in the East and ended up winning the division. 2016 we were picked 2nd in the East and ended up winning the conference championship.
Where did I say that nobody thought we'd be good? People for sure didn't think we'd win the East in 2015 or beat Navy in 2016. I'd prefer to keep flying under the radar and keep winning.

Dude, it happens every year. Temple never beats teams with "flash", so everyone underestimates them every year. Just the way it is.
I do expect Temple to take a step back...but more in the 8-4 range to 7-5. The talent is still there though. Yes, Temple lost a good RB but they have a backup that rushed for 14tds and 6 yards per carry and almost 1,000 yards last season. That is a hell of a backup...
Also, I believe you are talking about Reddick? He played DE at Temple, not MLB.
Don't be shocked it Temple is fighting for the division again this year.

PJ wasn't a 4 year starter.
We lost our 2nd best RB. Armstead is better than Thomas.
You are right about Reddick, but we lost Matakevich too and were fine.
All world coach? LOL Rhule made plenty of mistakes.

Perhaps I missed the AAC part, but I thought my point was pretty obvious (since we're on the AAC board comparing performance and all...).
And it reinforces my point that anyone with a record .004 better than a fan-base they're trying to troll probably shouldn't be trolling said fan-base in the first place.
