Can't believe it is that time of the year already!

What are your AAC predictions?

Who is your sleeper team?

The West looks really tough. The East seems to be USF's to lose.

Always enjoy hearing from you guys 04-cheers

USF finishes 2nd in the east. SMU is my sleeper, doubt they wake up though.
Nice job on the predictions. I tend to agree with most of what you posted.

USF will run away with the East and the West should be between UH and Memphis and I think Memphis takes it.

UC: I'd be happy if we could get to 6-6 this year but major concerns on the O-line, qb, and question marks at qb have me thinking 5-7 or 4-8.
In the East I think USF takes it this year
The West will be more competitive but I think Memphis wins it at the end
Memphis in the west and USF in the East. Getting crushed in the bowl with a stacked team does not inspire confidence about Houston outlook under Applewhite.
C'mon Tulsa!!! 04-cheers
Early reports indicate good special teams (but not as good as last year), an improved Tiger defense and a potent, versatile offense. I think Memphis has a legitimate opportunity to win the West. I believe USF will capture the East title.

Great post. PS: Quay is good, but Jimmy Williams is going to be your guy.

Darkhorse - TU in the west (I don't really think they are a darkhorse to me but I think they are to others)

USF in the east, watch out for UCF (they are done being beat on)

Tulsa is no darkhorse, could be picked as the favorite by some, crushed Memphis in Memphis last year, and have Navy, Memphis and Houston at home. Early reports of practice are very good as well.
USF (10-2/6-2)
UCF (7-5/5-3)
Temple (6-6/3-5)
Cincy (5-7/3-5) [loses tie breaker to Temple]
ECU (4-8/2-6) [upsets BYU]
UConn (2-10/0-8) 'It'll get worse before it gets better'

Memphis (9-3/6-2)
Houston (8-4/6-2) [loses tie breaker to Memphis]
Tulsa (7-5/5-3)
Navy (7-5/5-3) [loses tie breaker to Tulsa]
SMU (6-6/3-5)
Tulane (2-10/0-8) 'It'll get worse before it gets better'

USF beats Memphis in the Champ game, 11-2 USF gets the Access Bowl...Memphis goes to Annapolis to play an ACC team...Houston goes to B'ham to play a SEC team...Tulsa goes to the Frisco Bowl...Navy goes to the Hawai'i Bowl...UCF goes to Boca Bowl...Temple goes to the St Pete Bowl...SMU goes to the Cure Bowl

just my guess.
Tulane gets 3 wins against Grambing, FIU, and Army. Knocks off Navy, Cincy, Houston, and SMU. Shocks the world and goes bowling at 7-5.
Bearcats will be more fun to watch because they'll bring the effort. May only translate to a couple more wins.

Agree, although having a fully engaged coaching staff should help. I'm cautiously optimistic.

The AAC needs Cincy to be a perennially ranked squad.

I like Memphis. QB coming back is huge.
I like USF.. See above, and I think UCF will make strides.
SMU barring major injuries could have a heck of a start. 6-1 or 5-2. Late season games are tougher IMHO. But if defense improves, watch out. Wins: SFA(h), NTU(h), ASU(h), UConn (h), UC, toss-up UH (beat 'em with a lesser team last year), probable loss TCU. Final games: Tulsa(h), Memphis, Navy, UCF(h) and last game Tulane(h).
Don't sleep on Uconn

As Long as UConn Beats BC at Fenway Park I'll be happy

"Aaron Bounmerhi handle place kicking duties last season when Jones went down but is the primary punter."

That's not really accurate.
