He just needs to take what he's already doing to the next level. If the coaches are on board helping him do that, this could be the year we see him averaging 35 minutes a game.
I'm actually less confident that we have coaches that can get him ready than I am in his ability to get there.
35 minutes a game is a lot.
I just threw out a number. I was thinking of NBA where they play 48 and not 40, like in college. But yeah, that may be a bit high, I guess. Point still stands that if he's serious, and if we're serious about helping him get there, the minutes have to go up.
That said, almost the entire top 100 players in minutes per game this year averaged over 35. Haha, was still 4 MPG shy of registering in the top 250 according to the NCAA site.

35 minutes may be too much, but he definitely needs more minutes than he got last season.

How will the coaching improve this player outside of him adding size.

Only about 45 American players will be drafted, including seniors and early entrants. Your game has to be elite to get drafted. Add to that them having to take a roster spot from a veteran and its extermely difficult to be even considered. Many early entrants backed out when they realized early on they had no shot. As usual a lot of guys that stay in are gonna be left out. The increase in D-League salaries(to $75,000) will impact guys staying in the draft, too.

Has Haha done a private workout with any teams?
Also, as an early entrant are you guaranteed to get feedback on what you need to work on? I think it'd be hard to get valuable feedback if you don't do any team workouts.

He needs to help himself too. Disappearing for long stretches isn't on the coaching staff.

Him disappearing is partly a coaching issue. It was already pointed out he didn't play enough minutes and the staff needs to draw up more plays for him to take shots. It's an issue on both sides.

You know by now that every failure by any player is on the coaching staff according to some posters.
Him playing long stretches of a smallish five is on the coaches, Cokley too. Is he truely a point forward as planned?

You guys bitched when he played too many minutes for his performance and are now bitching he didn't get enough? Be consistent. The coach cannot help him grab rebounds or not turn the ball over or not let a man blow by him. They can get him more involved and get him better looks. But a large portion of disappearing is on the player. Go get the ball. Make something happen.

It goes both ways. We know what HaHa can do when he's on. Sometimes he does not seem to have his effort dialed all the way up, and that's on him.
OTOH, the plays when the ball goes out to Lee, Cokely, or Tosin in the high post and they need to make a pass to trigger a play often don't work. They wind up holding the ball looking for an open pass as the clock runs down, and wind up finally making a pass late in the clock. This results in a shot having to be forced. They need to get the ball in closer, especially Cokely. That one's on the coaching staff.
