+1

But we are in on some good 2018 kids too, and said big would send one returning big to the bench and at the moment our current bigs all need to play.

He has gone a year without playing and will take some time to get back in form. It is also possible that he lost something permanently due to the injury.

Nick was practicing with a coach when I was in Bartow a few weeks ago. Granted I only saw 10 min. or so of time but he was moving well, cutting & shooting free throw lane jumpers.

I would like to sign a big as well. The sad part is there is zero margin of error. MTSU would have been left out of the tourney had they not won and that is a bad sign in the direction college basketball is heading. The Presidents and ADs of the non power leagues need to step up and start raising a fuss about it. It's pretty sad that the power leagues argue that you don't play anyone and yet they wont give you many games and its now rare that they come to your place. What about poor Monmouth a couple years ago actually did face the gauntlet and won a lot of those games and were still denied.

I agree with everything you said except for one thing. It is not a direction college basketball is headed. It is already there and not much that is going to change it.

Lol yea. It's there. I'll agree to that. I just think it will get worse though. You will see the non power leagues relegated to the cit and CBI and if you are not a league champion you can. Forget about the nit. Those slots will go to the power teams with a game over .500 or better records. Basketball is becoming as exclusive as football.

In both men's revenue sports the direction of movement by the NCAA is to give the top P5 schools whatever they want. The question is therefore, how much longer can the "cannon fodder" schools afford to continue to provide "roadkill" for these few Enormous State University programs? As it has been since the 2000 season, only about a dozen "ESU" teams have been able to compete for the NCAA NC. Hundred million $$ per year sports programs (like the one 60 miles to the west) are not common -- yet.
