RE: Champlin: UAB's William Lee to enter NBA Draft, not sign with agent

+1
But we are in on some good 2018 kids too, and said big would send one returning big to the bench and at the moment our current bigs all need to play.

He has gone a year without playing and will take some time to get back in form. It is also possible that he lost something permanently due to the injury.
Nick was practicing with a coach when I was in Bartow a few weeks ago. Granted I only saw 10 min. or so of time but he was moving well, cutting & shooting free throw lane jumpers.

You will see the non power leagues relegated to the cit and CBI and if you are not a league champion you can. Forget about the nit. Those slots will go to the power teams with a game over .500 or better records. Basketball is becoming as exclusive as football.
In both men's revenue sports the direction of movement by the NCAA is to give the top P5 schools whatever they want. The question is therefore, how much longer can the "cannon fodder" schools afford to continue to provide "roadkill" for these few Enormous State University programs? As it has been since the 2000 season, only about a dozen "ESU" teams have been able to compete for the NCAA NC. Hundred million $$ per year sports programs (like the one 60 miles to the west) are not common -- yet.
