Even if you did lose a recruit or two over the years solely because we play UT I still think the benefits of playing them FAR outweighs such a potential loss.

Don't feel bad - everybody on that bench quit around the same time too.

If the current staff doesn't emphasize or recruit Memphis, won't that happen anyway? AR and TN have already offered Rodgerick Brown at Cordova. I'm sure they are likely on Tyler Harris too and reading the tea leaves, doesn't seem Memphis has shown much interest in either.

I think it helps UT recruiting, sets us up to lose a top recruit to UT, but yes some people don't get laid enough.

Tiger Deno, just practice a little patience. We need you! The Tubbs is going to win here. Don't get sucked into the misery displayed by the miserables. Let's go, Tigers!

Great, we don't catch them wen they are down, instead, they just had a positive year in which seven of their nine rotation players are freshman and sophomores.

just be glad they'll play us. they hold all the cards. we need to get Arkansas back on the schedule too

I must say"hold all the cards" is one of the dumbest things I've ever heard on this message board.

Do you listen to yourself before you post?

The conference is a dud. The NonCon is laughable and uninteresting.

At least I'd have interest in playing UT.

Yeah, it will probably help their recruiting some, but that's the trade off.

I don't like playing the COMMUNISTS at all----but if we do-- NO FOOTBALL GAMES THEN NO BASKETBALL GAMES--and NO 2for1 crap. No Arkansas until they play the one they owe.

If you have to play non-conference games, and everyone does, you might as well play against someone people give a flip about.

The opportunity to beat big brother should always mean more than the possibility of losing to them.

MISERABLES as Cal would say... 03-pissed

Cal would be dictating BB scheduling and it would have to be a national TV game if we played UT, Arky or OM AND a football game in return. Cal would not take any s***.

If he is related to Tony Harris of East then it is his relative who went young UZt and later regretted it.

you do know that all these recruits can see Arkansas and TN play on the TV thing, right?

Sure, but until the science is there for point to point beaming, the best way for Granny and friends to see you play in person and pinch your cheeks, is to play in your home town, i.e., Memphis.

Both Gary Parrish and the new beat writer think that this is a silly argument originating with Cal and that the sheeple just keep regurgitating.

If playing in the home town is such a sell wouldn't playing here 75 times vs. 2 times over a 4 year period be a reason to stay home?

Will be easy to test now. We have a coach who isn't known as a great recruiter, we are inviting the state school that OWNS everything east of the Tennessee River in.

Parrish and the new beat writer didn't have to recruit, Cal did. I think Cal is a mediocre coach, but he is in the top 3 recruiters who have ever lived.

Cal went to F4 from 8/9 seed. Is that all players? Cal is a very good HOF BASKETBALL COACH.
