Seriously? Dude, this ain't the place for this discussion. I believe in the 2nd amendment and the right to defend myself. If you don't want one, don't have one. I don't really like that response. Bob Knight took TTU to the NCAAs 4 of 6 years and to the Sweet 16... Personality issues aside, clearly it is possible to do big things there...

Texas Tech has never made it past the Sweet Sixteen. There's a reason for that. One of the greatest coaches of all time was there for seven years and the best he could do is get them to one Sweet Sixteen as a 6 seed.

I think the problem is. Georgia Tech is not that attractive to a top G5 coach.
If you are a good coach you can get 500k to 1mil. a year in the AAC or MWC or CUSA and dont have to compete with the likes of Louisville, UNC, Syracuse, Duke etc every year. And the entrance requirememts at GT are much higher.

Also GT is a downtown campus right where all the traffic comes together in a morning and night rush hours.
Why leave a nice quiet campus somewhere where you can win your conference every other year and get to a sweet 16 once and awhile and avoid all the pressure of trying to even get over .500 in the ACC and then get fired after a few years

The GT job is just not that attractive. The Bobby Cremins days are gone.

Take a step back pal, I'm a gun owner myself and I never said anything about challenging your rights, I just think that saying you feel the need to have a round in the chamber at the very thought of driving through a particular city is a bit much.

I live in a small town in Iowa with a pop. of 26,000 which has not much crime to speak of. I have to wonder about the occasional shopper I see at the grocery store carrying a pistol in his holster. It's a bit over the top imho.

Doesn't matter what I do. I'll do whatever I want. I don't open carry in public BTW.

I would think that the bolded plus the knowledge that you have a chambered round should be a concern to a lot of folks.
