But he's always been that way the remarks he makes about EMU and its coaches and players are pretty close to libel and slander. When we were beating WMU in football and Murphy brought us to competitive parity in men's hoops it drove him nuts. And this year WMU hoops is nothing to brag about. Back in the day when M Live had forums he purportly was banned from M Live for contacting a recruit who had committed to CMU that WMU was interested in and interfering in the process. I don't know whether that story is true but it wouldn't surprise me. I believe he may have qualified as a WMU booster under NCAA rules.

When I went to school, I remember on several occasions Izugwu and Zajac, or another pair of players, at a booth in McKinney Union literally recruiting students to come to games. I think something like that would work still.

After 20 years of crap basketball, you expect them to come flocking back because you're 2-2?

Since Murphy became coach we haven't had crap basketball just look at his regular season record against Hawkins and WMU.

And that's funny, because despite are smaller crowds, Hawkins has NEVER beaten Murphy in Ypsilanti. I think we'll stick with capacity as is, considering WMU can't figure out how to beat us at home.
