BG Game
Also good to see Free Throw shooting continue to improve and become more consistent.

RE: BG Game
I don't want to sound like captain obvious, but in college ball, I'm going to start looking at the 3pt stats and guess who won the game.

If the number of treys attempted is 20 or more and more than 50% made, it is most likely a win.

That is what BG did... they shot 23 times (3 ball) and got 36 points from those shots. Need to make 78% of 23 2-point shots to get 36 points.

That's why the three ball can be such a great weapon...

RE: BG Game
Looks like Miami and Ball State got into an old-time EMU-NIU game. BSU wins 48-46 with neither team managing to score 20 in both halves.

By the way, Ball State is 3-1 in conference. Haven't played the strongest teams, but still...

Where are the friggen students??? Totally unacceptable for the to be about 20 in the student section. The team needs to recruit others in the classes.

I am so sick of this jagoff cutting down the men's program to praise the women's program, a program which no one cares about. I'd love to knock that stupid safari hat off his head. By the way, when Thompson is in the NBA, all the no-show students are going to be saying how they watched him play when he was at EMU.

Couldn't bring myself to actually root for WMU, but nice to see them beat NIU handily 83-69. I don't mind NIU getting there chance at a good season, but wouldn't want EMU chasing and undefeated team.

I agree wholeheartedly. This should have been a win. With the MAC being a conference with such parity and home court plays such an important role, you can't squander home games against mediocre opponents.

I also agree, it is hard to gripe too much given how exciting a comeback it almost was.

When I went to school, I remember on several occasions Izugwu and Zajac, or another pair of players, at a booth in McKinney Union literally recruiting students to come to games. I think something like that would work still.

Bob, what is your beef with Superfan? I know he is a bit more of a downer. We all have our negative moments, his are just a little excessive. But we need that here in order to balance out all the sunshine that comes out of Steve's arse. ( jk, Steve)

What on Earth happened to Mangum these last two ganes, very poor performances. First half, he just seened do unsure and error prone.

Is it possible that having him start ahead of Lee (unjustified) only to eventually lose the starting role has shaken his confidence? We need his spark off the bench, though I am happy for Alvsno to also get an opportunity as well.

RPI update

12 MAC

67 NIU
71 EMU
102 Akron
116 Kent St
125 Ohio
130 Buffalo

193 Ball St
194 Toledo
195 CMU
203 BGSU
249 Miami
256 WMU

*******************
Based on the Sagarins, we should be about a 7 or 8 point favorite Saturday.

#256 over #67 in a lopsided blowout.

#203 over #71 on 71's home floor

So much for meaningless rankings

After 20 years of crap basketball, you expect them to come flocking back because you're 2-2?
