Genyk, who spent the last three years at Wisconsin as a tight ends and special teams coach, is expected to serve as Vanderbilt’s special teams coordinator. Genyk was the head coach at Eastern Michigan from 2004-2008, over which period his teams went 16-42.

He was a good coach for EMU. Not really the wins we or he would have wanted. But perhaps that was EMU more than the coach.

He made beating CMU an annual thing when they were at the peak of their cockiness. Several high scoring games back then.
