Fuente left us much better off in every respect.

Cal did not leave the program in shambles; just the roster. He left us with a top 10-20 PROGRAM. But the way he left by 'agonizing' over the decision in order to take as many recruits as possible to KY? Eff him.

How does taking your entire recruiting class paid for with Memphis money and leaving basically one player leave it a top 20 program. It takes players to be a top 20 program. He and R. C. A$$hat tried to insure the program tanked to make X look like a real hero.

The PROGRAM is the facilities, the fan support, the available salaries for coaches, etc. If you support / build the PROGRAM and hire the right COACH you'll get the PLAYERS to be a top 20 team.

South Carolina didn't for years. That perpetual support of horrendously bad football got them in the SEC. They still are not a perennial top 20 team in either sport.

for what its worth..Cal did not 'leave us a player'....Coleman decided to honor his commitment....and for that I thank him. It coulda been worse...as in Spoon and Garcia being our only bigs during that time.

I was being overly generous Misfit...

They haven't done anything wrong. Some people will just never be happy.

Fuente was trying to secure that VT job when we still had several games left. His focus wasn't here, neither were his assistants. It cost us several games. And with the coaches left helping out with the bowl game none of them were really thinking about that game. They were thinking about future plans and all that. Same with Lynch. The whole thing was a distraction and dissapointing for our players especially the seniors.

They're looking out for themselves. They all do that. I would've done the same thing...Good for Fu and good for his guys to take a better job and act when they felt needed.

Seems you have no concept of what integrity means. Any other business out there if your boss finds out you are looking at other offers while you should be working for them. You would be out the door that moment. Maybe the concept if integrity is foreign in today's society?

Another ridiculous statement

RE: Brad Cornelsen to be Virginia Tech OC
Let's put this nonsense of coaching conflict & loyalty to bed using Kirby Smart as the most visible example. Smart was named the UGA head coach the day UA finished it's SEC schedule. He immediately began recruiting for UGA even though he is still the DC for UA, coached UA in the playoff & will coach them in the national championship. Smart was even in attendance at the UGA bowl game yesterday, representing UGA. He talked freely about recruiting for UGA & all the while is still the DC for UA. It is how it's done. It may seem strange to those of us who have normal jobs but it is the routine in college FB this time of year.
