So they have unathletic athletes?

RE: Official Bowl pairings
Dear Appalachian State fans,
On September 1st, 2007, I was sitting in the stands at Ohio Stadium watching the Buckeyes dismantle FCS Youngstown State. I was a junior in high school at the time, and growing up near Columbus, I was a pretty avid Ohio State fan (that quickly changed when I moved to Athens to become a Bobcat, but I digress).
Much to my amusement, and the delight of the fans still in attendance, the final minutes of the Michigan vs. Appalachian State game was broadcast on the video boards there at Ohio Stadium. Watching that blocked field goal kick that led to a Michigan upset was magical.
Since that moment, I've always had love for your football program. (Hell, I even moved you guys up to FBS in my NCAA Football 2008 video game and won you a National Championship!). That year, a good friend of mine visited Boone, North Carolina for a college visit and I had him pick me up an App State T-Shirt, which I wear regularly to this day.
However, that t-shirt is now in a box in my closet where it will remain until bowl season is over. I'm very much looking forward to this bowl game and I think it is going to be a hard fought win for whoever comes out on top. So, best of luck to both teams.... but i'm predicting a 31-24 victory for the Bobcats.
GO OHIO!
P.S. looking forward to wearing that Mountaineer shirt again sometime in 2016

I agree, both sides have the players to beat the other. It's going to come down to turnovers and a couple key drives down the stretch.
Both these teams are coming with a similar gameplan, run the ball and wear down the other defense.

Saw you beat a terrible ODU team and a (let's face it) somewhat overrated GSU (this year). Saw you get punched in the mouth vs ASU.. The Clemson loss isn't a big deal because...well.. They're the top team in the country.. And yes, I have ESPN3 and since I pretty much watch as much G5 football as I can... I saw parts of the game in between my other TVs with other games on...
So, I guess you are right in a sense.. Do I care about G5 football? Yes. Do I care who wins this bowl? Nope. I won't lose sleep either way. So, again, I made a prediction based on what I saw of App and what I saw and know of Ohio. Good luck.
You failed to understand the circumstances surround the ability to Arkansas State to come back in that game, you also failed to watch the ULL game, ULM game, Georgia State game, Wyoming game, Troy, and i'm sure a few others.
The great thing about your perception is that is falls right into who App is as a team. Methodical, sound in their technique, which culminates in the ability to operate like a machine. Sure, there will be some hiccups, but for the most part App's offense has just enough wrinkles to continuously catch the defense off guard if the play calling is done correctly.
Arkansas State and Clemson were the only team's with the athletes to set the edges and force the run game into unfavorable match-ups.
That said, I only saw Ohio and Idaho play and I don't take much from it as it was the first game of the year and....it's Idaho.
When did I ever say App wasn't any of these things??? When did I say App wasn't good??? I didn't. Sweet Jesus, all I did was make a prediction...
And I didn't like you're prediction. So I made a counter prediction. My position is that you don't have the sample size to make an accurate prediction of the game. You also said "punched in the mouth against ASU". If anything, ASU took the punches, and the wrestled the game into submission.
Either way, I expect you to win your bowl game, I expect the App game to be somewhere around 45-17 or so, and then I can bounce back to the transitive property until App and Marshall finally play.
Easy fellas, this doesn't need to be a competition... You both suck equally.
Take it easy on us Falcons. Hail Southern! GO BOBCATS!

The Georgia State Panthers called, apparently they are still pissing on your stadium. Hopefully running into Eagle Creek like the rest of Gnatsboro's sewer system.

It was more like we took a few body blows, than punched you in the mouth one good clean time, knocked you down, and then sat on top and continued throwing punches until we eventually felt bad about beating up on you guys, and let you up for air.
I freaking hate excuses, but I'm gonna tell you right now that App would have won that game by 20+ had Chapman not gone down. I'm not sure that Lamb fielded a clean snap the rest of the game, and I LOVE Collins, but he just wasn't the man for the job that day.
