Calling UConn Yukon is an insult get a life

If that's what douche bag Cuse fans call UConn and Huskies clearly don't like it, I'd say that's reason enough to not do it. It would be like ECU fans calling us EZU or butt Pirates.

This is 100% correct.

Stookey, can we agree that calling UConn "Yukon" is derogatory? Can you please refrain from doing it going forward? Husky fans would seriously appreciate it. If you won't change your ways on that one, you can't blame UConn fans for calling open season on you going forward. It is just a respect issue between fans.

If you aren't willing to do that for us Husky fans, can you at least then remove the reference in your profile about you rooting for UConn? People who root for UConn don't call it "Yukon"....ever.

Thanks!

Listen practically my whole family went there its just a pet name I will stop go UConn

Thanks, Stookey. You are always a reasonable guy and I appreciate it.
04-cheers

You'd be surprised at the ignorance in this world, but a lot of people think UConn is east of Alaska.

Home and Home. 4 games series. http://www.courant.com/sports/uconn-foot...story.html

2016: UConn at BC (Nov. 19)

2017: BC at UConn (Nov. 18)

2018: UMass at UConn

2019: UConn at UMass, Gillette Stadium

2020: UMass at UConn

2021: UConn at UMass, Gillette Stadium

2022: UConn at BC

2023: BC at UConn

2016: BC at UMass, Gillette Stadium

2018: UMass at BC

Quote:UMass will drop its 2016 and 2017 games against UConn so that the Huskies and Boston College can start up a new series. In exchange, BC will now play its Sept. 17, 2016 game against the Minutemen on the road at Gillette Stadium instead of at Alumni Stadium in Chestnut Hill. The 2017 hole created by UConn will still have to be filled.

UMass will fill the Sept. 10 hole in its 2016 schedule vacated by UConn with another home game against Florida International at McGuirk Stadium. Additional FIU road games are set for 2018 (previously scheduled) and 2019 (new).

In the end, UMass winds up with four future games against BC (2016, 2018 and a home-and-home in the early 2020s) and four future games against UConn (2018-2021).

Now UMass will have 6 home games in 2016, with two on campus.
Like the deal except disappointed that the series is delayed until 2018 with UConn.

I was looking forward to next year at Gillette. I was planning on trying to make the trip. I'm all for the UConn-UMass rivalry though and I'm glad we have a longer term series scheduled now. I know kind words from a Husky are foreign to you Minutemen, but I personally want to see your program succeed. It's in the best interest of college sports in New England IMO.
