big bad acc... and than lowly UConn?? It's obvious you trolling here now.
I was calling out BC for being skeered. If BC and UConn set up a 5 game series, UConn could easily win 2. BC doesn't want any of that. You don't see Wake Forest or Duke scheduling East CArolina or UCF or Arkansas State, do you?
Sarcasm at its finest , I missed it by a mile... My apologies johnbragg

I'm hearing it's a 3:2 deal. 3 games at BC, 2 games at UCONN. I think it should have been 2 at BC, 2 at UCONN, 1 at Patriots, but oh well...

RE: New England FBS: UCONN, UMass, and BC to play on a regular basis?
The rumor from the UMass side of the fence is that we would swap our 9/10 home game vs. UConn to BC in exchange for a long term scheduling agreement with BC. It would presumably begin with BC changing next season's 9/17 UMass at BC game to a "neutral" game at Gillette that would count towards UMass's home schedule, otherwise UMass won't meet minimum scheduling requirements without the UConn game. BC has a big scheduling problem with only 2 OOC games booked for next season, including 1 FCS opponent. They played 2 FCS games this season due to ongoing scheduling problems, and their future OOC schedules are largely empty too.
I don't know if UConn is really any further involved at this point, other than giving UMass the okay to trade this one game. Can UConn cancel Maine on 9/3 and reschedule UMass for Nov 12? If so, that would satisfy the UMass-UConn agreement and put BC on the spot to return a game to UConn in exchange for the last second home game.

How is a P5 program having scheduling problems? I THINK I can speak for all the fans here in that any school in this conference would be happy to schedule games with them.

Like I said earlier - it's going to be 3 games at BC, 2 at UCONN. I haven't heard anything about specific dates for these 5 games. I would like to see UCONN dump Maine next year. UMass, BC, Syracuse, Virginia would be a very appealing OOC for Husky fans.

I went to all the BC UConn football games they were sold out and very competitive except for the first.
BC did UConn a favor by scheduling them when they were Independent.
I never forget that second or third game at Chestnut Hill I was there yukon almost came back in the end to tie it great game

The Head Coach at Duke has said in a number of interviews he would like to schedule ECU in football, but ECU has not had the interest. The ECU AD has realized that Duke does not have the fans that travel to assist with ticket sales and they are not enough of a draw in football to pull out casual ECU bandwagon fans compared to the other regional draws we play in OOC. Your statement is not relevant to ECU.
I'm sorry but I don't buy that. There has to be more to the story. Duke might not have a ton of fans but they'd draw more than some of the FCS crap we've scheduled lately.

Can't wait to see the few dozen Eagles fans heads collectively explode. I love the excuse a game against UConn does nothing for us. Then BC schedule two FCS games this year or a road game against with New Mexico State last year. Those are the games that really get the fan base jacked up.

That's how boston college feels I know our league is a good league and do we deserve power status well we have to earn it.
So far we've done a good job and will only do better I think this year, so people will start to ask questions.
We're lucky because for years there were 6 power conferences.
We just have to perform well on the field

Well, jeez, if BC is doubling up on FCS games and playing at New Mexico State, maybe they will come around to playing UConn and UMass regularly. Wow.

I didn't know Canadian colleges made treks to the US. Wow! Hey did you guys at BC get a return date? Also, did you play any other Canadian Universities while up that way?

BCU was contractually obligated by the Big East to schedule UConn during UConn's transition to Big East from FCS. BC did UConn no favors.
The fact you refer to the University of Connecticut as "Yukon" is pretty perplexing considering you list the school in your profile as one you are a fan of. Maybe you should also list Syracuse considering they and BC are the only fanbases which seem to be the childish enough to regularly embrace that "insult."

First, if BC isn't signing an even deal then tell them to hit the road. They are in no position to demand anything but home and home with UCONN. Unless its lopsided bc of the 2016 deal and a rush to get the series started.
With regard to ECU Duke, it should and will happen, Ruff and Cutt have mentioned the possibility and have a good relationship. I'd like to see Wake and Duke on the schedule every so often with NCSU and UNC on a heavier rotation. Maybe NCSU and UNC every three years, off set and Duke Wake every four.
