Got FoxSports OH added to my dish package yesterday just so I could see this game....

I was told there will be high school games played the previous week @ the end of August a week before we open!. I just find that a little odd that a high school team will get a chance to play there and reopen the new Nippert before the Bearcats play. Thoughts?
There are going to be four high school games at Nippert the week before:
•St. Xavier v. Covington Catholic (August 28th, 5:30 pm)
•Moeller v. Indianapolis Cathedral (August 28th, 8:00 pm)
•La Salle v. Carmel (August 29th, 6:00 pm)
•Colerain v. Warren Central (August 29th, 8:30 pm)
There will also be games over at Sheakley.
Frankly, I don't have a problem with it. UC gets some revenue out of the deal and the kids enjoy playing at Nippert. Who knows, maybe one of them will enjoy playing there so much they commit to play athletics for UC.
Does anyone know who initiated playing these games on campus? I'm just wondering if there are any conditions under which this could be considered improper recruitment of high school athletes?
In Game Sports (Tom Gamble) runs it. With the exception of last year, these games have been played at Nippert for a number of years now. What's the issue?

I'm just wondering if there are any restrictions to be aware of when bringing high school players on campus for an event like this. Also, is UC required to charge market rates for use of the facilities, or could they, for example, donate use of Nippert as an incentive for local schools to schedule games on campus. I'm guessing as long as UC treats it as an arms length transaction, there's nothing to worry about.

None as long as UC's staff stays away from them outside of casually saying hello or watching in the stands.

That is a heck of a lineup. 3 of the best Indiana programs right there.
First tailgate of 2015 if anyone wants to join up. We will be on the roof of the Bidnez College garage getting ready for the 8pm Moeller game. I'm grilling venison tenderloin wrapped in bacon. A few guys on here can attest that the recipe is definitely worth the trip and putting up with me.
