What exactly do Tulsa and Tulane offer?
I've asked that over and over again...
Get this man a prize.
You ever consider why the B10 requires new members to be AAU schools?
Congrats on the useless Tulane bashing.
Wasn't that long ago, 1998, that Tulane went undefeated and 'should have' been in a BCS bowl. In fact, that event helped the rest of us get access.
Tulane just built a great new stadium. Small but perfect for their needs. We are not the SEC, not everyone needs a huge stadium.
Tulane is in arguably the best destination city/major market in the conference. Orlando, Tampa, Memphis, Houston all good too, but lets face it when you think party, you think New Orleans. Man I can't wait for a road trip to see USF there, then hit the FQ after the game!! If you've not spent a weekend on the FQ, then you just haven't lived...
He's right on academics. Why does Vandy get to hang around the SEC?
We have 12 schools. Even if we got rid of Tulane tomorrow... who is the stellar obvious replacement? We've debated this on countless threads, but the consensus is usually that none of the usual suspects are ready yet.
