Which campus? I was thinking that following the Baja wars of 2047 that Universidad Nacional Autonoma de Mexico de California de Baja might be a PAC expansion candidate.

That's very possible too--some schools in conferences that are too big may start trying to move elsewhere in the future. Contraction rather than expansion.

Until some things shake out...cable, GORs, Unionization, Pay, endorsements, division set up, NCAA overlording, etc...conferences might be holding back for a few years.

one thing is for sure, the Big ten is focused on an east coast presence. you dont open two satellite offices in NYC and one in Maryland, plus sign a deal with the pinstripe bowl in order to try and add more midwestern schools. if the b10 expands further, it will be in the east.

Here is hoping UB can push the NY brand, win some damn games, and get the donors to move the road map forward

I predict they lose a school before they add one. With the current revenue $, its harder and harder to justify an addition. A school has to bring in huge amounts of money. I think ND joins the ACC before the B10. UNC isn't coming. I don't see Texas coming. That leaves UVA as someone they might want as #15 who might add enough. But they might not add enough to fund #16.

they fall to the AAC and perhaps to CUSA in such a scenario. Iowa State is the strongest candidate in such a scenario.
Baylor wouldn't be taken by any major conference. They're only in the Big XII because Ann Richards (the governor at the time and a Baylor grad) told Texas that they couldn't merge with the Big 8 without taking Baylor too. The SEC won't have them because they are too small. The PAC 12 and the B1G won't have them because they discriminate. I guess the ACC might be an option if they need more teams, but I would still think they'd face serious issues with an ACC bid. Baylor's bid to the AAC might be complicated by Houston and SMU, both of whom were very upset with the SWC breakup.
TCU goes to the AAC.
But while a breakup of the Big XII might be in the cards, its possible the SEC says "you know what, we really don't need nor want Kansas State"
On another note, while Missouri wanted the B1G first, I don't think they'll leave the SEC for the B1G. They appear to be very happy in the SEC.

Once again, Ann Richards had ZERO to do with Baylor getting in the Big 12. This has been discussed many times on this board.

RE: 4/14/14 - Expansionistas Big Ten Prediction Poll
I think there are multiple teams they would be willing to add it just depends if they can get them. Here's how I would break it down in terms of Big10 interest and reasonable interest from the school.
1A) Oklahoma
1B) Virginia
1C) Georgia Tech
The big ten would take 2 of these 3 today if they could but a lot will have to happen if we ever see any of these 3 ever in big 10.
2A) Virginia Tech
2B) Kansas
Still strong interest from big ten and these schools probably have more interest than the first group.
3A) Uconn
3B) Syracuse
3C) Cincy
3D) Buffalo
On the conferences radar but not likely to see an invite anytime soon. I feel these 4 schools would jump today if received.
When all is said and done i feel they somehow manage to get GT and Uconn in the first round and later manage Oklahoma and VT in a second round.

As a biased contributor, this intrigues me. It is the perfect combination of markets, eastern orientation and balance of bball and football (though of course both have aspirations to improve where weak).

UB should work the state legislature like Illinois'--they are considering trying get another school up to Big Ten standards and get an invite:
SPRINGFIELD — Two GOP lawmakers want another Big Ten university in Illinois because they say tight admission policies at the University of Illinois are driving students out of state.
Sen. Michael Connelly, R-Lisle, and Sen. Matt Murphy, R-Palatine, have introduced legislation to study what it would take for Illinois to get one of its current public universities — like Illinois State University or Southern Illinois University at Edwardsville — to become a Big Ten school.

Buffalo already has the school and academics--they just need the major effort to upgrade athletics to Big Ten standards.

I have no idea what the B1G will eventually look like, but I think that if I was Delaney, this is my ideal end game:
UT/OU/KU/NU/MU
UIA/UMN/UW/UIL/NWU
PU/IND/MSU/UM/OSU
PSU/RU/UMD/UVA/UNC

It gives the Big Ten two new good sized markets-especially considering Connecticut is adjacent to (and really part of) the NYC market.
VT would give the Big Ten the only "power" football team available from that region and of course UConn is a bb power.
VT and UVa are reportedly not too happy about the scheduling in the ACC going forward where they won't get to play schools like FSU very often-especially at home (probably the root of the request to the NCAA).
If you look at VT's schedule, they have several Big Ten major opponents coming up as well.

That's an add of six teams, taking them to 20. If one were fantasizing, you could see the SEC happy to take the same schools (minus Mizzou, which they already have). If they could get them all, they might even be willing to toss in West Virginia to inch a little further toward the north.
But that's just fantasy, IMO, for both conferences.
