Exclamation 4/14/14 - Expansionistas Big Ten Prediction Poll
4/14/14 - Expansionistas Big Ten Prediction Poll
Test your mettle and reputation and name what the 15th and 16th schools (in exact order) to join the Big Ten will be. This is not a contest, but only an informal poll this ol' Badger fan is doing. Often a majority gets things right. If enough people participate, let's see if a strong consensus forms that does accurately predict this likely future announcement. Thank you!

My choices:
15th - Kansas
16th - Kansas State

most likely option: no expansion

most likely small expansion scenario: a major pac12 raid. cu, + cali 4 + washington + notre dame & maybe zona/oregon

I agree with the timeframe. However, the schools will be Kansas and Missouri.

I'll go with Kansas for spot 15 but not sure about spot 16. Could be Missouri and the big 10 settles at 16 or I could see OU and that might put texas in the big 10. I think the ACC school to watch for the big 10 would be FSU even with the academics. I like this 16 team setup of 4 pods

RE: 4/14/14 - Expansionistas Big Ten Prediction Poll
If (and that's a big word in this poll) the B10 expands, it will likely be one east and one west. I'd imagine, Kansas and Virginia as well. I think Missouri is going to be very happy in the SEC, and unless the B12 expands beyond their current 10, I can't see any reason Kansas would like to stay

Possible. But let's check back in 7-8 years and see what the lay of the land is then.

07-coffee3 I like the 16 team league, 4 pod arrangement, too. I would prefer Delany keep to a northern league and the Big Ten in just two regions though.

RE: 4/14/14 - Expansionistas Big Ten Prediction Poll
15. Kansas
16. Oklahoma

Texas goes independent, signs partial deal with ACC

SEC adds
15. Oklahoma State
16. W Virginia (or possibly Kansas St)

Oklahoma State then passes OU in recruiting

ACC tries to convince Notre Dame and Texas to join full in, but assuming that fails, they stay at 14 with 2 partials

JMO.

After the Big Ten takes VT and UConn,

UVA and UNC will join the SEC. Missouri will move back to the west.

FSU, Clemson, Miami, NC State, Louisville and GT will join the Big 12
