Look, Pastner isn't blameless and I've said many times that he has faults....but damn, we had half this board expecting a final four in his first two years. He was never given a fair shot on here and has been blamed for EVERYTHING.

There is no hope for Pastner's coaching in games like this. And he won't get superstar talent like Calipari did to override his bad coaching so please don't mention how Calipari wasn't that good in his first 5 years.

There will be a night and day difference in effort next year. Clear to see with the young guys on the floor

We got embarrassed from the water boy, to the players, to the coach. Just plain ugly.

Why do we have top wait for Pastner or any coach to become great. Why? We have a top 10 or at least top 12 program. Great talent within the city. We pay our coaches well. It's the top ticket in town as well as having an NBA team. Why don't we hire a guy that can win big now?

Offense we have limited players...Defensively we have athletes that SHOULD be able to perform.

i hope so, but i believe there was a night and day difference between geron johnson last year to this year. he lost some of the dog in him. let's hope pastner doesn't douse the dog in our young players.

Pastner gets the blame after losses because our losses have been embarrassing blowouts with a glaringly obvious lack of defensive fundamentals and offensive consistency. Not to mention the regression of those lacking areas as the season progressed.

memphis opening now compared to memphis opening 5 years ago is apples to oranges. this job is definitely appealing to more coaches this go around due to the underachieving of the past 4 years.

Honestly I can't think of coach out there right now I want anyway.

So there is nothing a team can do that a coach does not have responsibility for? I'm sure Josh would disagree with all you guys bashing the players.

Just ask yourself which team had the most talent?

It's hard to replace the things Calipari did for this program when he was here. He had an unprecedented run. He left us in a bad situation no doubt. I find it hard to believe there isn't better options for this program than what we currently have though.
