And one more thing.
Three elite eights is NOT a better winning percentage than two title games- one a national title. Do the math:
Elite eight= 3 NCAA wins
3 elite eights = 9 ncaa wins
Title game = 5 NCAA wins
NAtional title = 6 NCAA wins
P.S. people only remember the title game. Ask Butler.
Thanks for a math lesson even though I never said 3 elite eights is a better winning % than 2 finals appearances.
I was simply throwing out some random numbers like you did only counting back to 92...figures lie and liars figure...you can almost always pick numbers that back up your point.
Back to my
3 original points and to your point of people only remembering the title game.
1. Cincinnati
2 NCAA Tournament Championships, Syracuse 1 NCAA Tournament Championship.
2. Cincinnati - 6 Final Fours, Syracuse - 4 Final Fours
3. Cincinnati 41-23 = 64%, Syracuse 53-34 = 61%
Both are great basketball programs that are in the top 10-15 range all time...top 4 IMO would be Kentucky, UCLA, Indiana and North Carolina...next four would be Duke, Kansas, Connecticut and Louisville...then teams like Michigan State, Cincinnati, Syracuse, NC State and Ohio State would be fighting for the last 2 spots in the top 10.
