Why can't you stop trolling? ECU is doing what is best for ECU. Piss Off is you don't like it. Are our State leaders doing this for votes, yes, but they can't lie that ECU in the BE (with a posible AQ bid) with the other 4 BCS schools in the state would good for Eastern NC's economy and the economy of the entire state. Studies have been done to see what the economic impact of the State's Universities, ECU has had about a 3 billion dollar posotive impact of the State's economy. ECU in a posible AQ confrence would be goo for the State, Easten NC, Pitt Country, and Greenville. They are looking out for NC. Are you stupid enough to think that Government officails wouldn't get invovled to help schools from their state. We weren't the first, Va. Governer went to bat for VPI, Texas helped Baylor stop the Pac-10 from stealing 6 teams from the B-12. Others will get envovled.
You needed to stop this crap, Terry Holland has been right so far, go read his letters again, listen to his interviews. Two weeks ago he said he thought the BE would lose one more school and guess what, hello WVU.
If you have a problem with Gov. Purdue, Sen. Burr, Sen. Hagan, or Terry Holland, their office e-mails are easy to find, go b@tch to them. We are just fans and at the end of the day, we aren't calling the shots. We can't sit around and wait, action is needed. What we fans and TH really want is a simple yes or no, we are sick and tired of the BE d@cking us around. If we aren't what the BE wants, then they should just say it, then we can move on.
As for what I think, I'd say no to the BE, F-them, they pound sand for all I care. ECU, USM, UCF, UH, SMU, Boise, are all good enough to be BCS programs and could do well. But, even if we were to have a "airport" meeting and form a new confrence. Just an example: Boise, UH, SMU, Tulsa, USM, ECU, UCF, Navy, AF, Memphis, Temple, and BYU. We still wouldn't be given AQ status, we still would be looked at as nothing more than "the best of the rest". Blowing up a AQ confrence and picking up a few of the "leftovers" is the only all of us could get AQ status and that's remote at best. All of us have one problem, we weren't there at the start, our programs don't go back to the 1890s to the 1910s, we aren't the "old guard" and they don't want us at the table and will only let so many at the table, ECU is doing what we have to do to get one of those seats.
