Miko there is nothing wrong with playing the 'devils advocate", which you do well. Its another thing when you get into the gutter like Michael Savaage did. Let us be honest, us football players all talk trash, the weak among us that got mad, got penalized.

I understand what you're saying. I used the thread in the OP as an example, but the ugliness is all over the realignment board. I agree with you that when you cross the line and call out a coach based on the color of his skin vs the quality of his performance, it's time to get banned. Here's to more positive things moving forward.

To be positive, quit coming to the Memphis board taking jabs at those with wounds already then.

Does it matter.

They were in the thread linked by the OP. It has been deleted so that's probably why it's not showing up.

No, I just enjoy asking questions I specifically don't want answers to.

I haven't made a thread about Memphis for a very long time. What are you referring to?

I haven't brought up Memphis in a thread for over 2 weeks now. Besides, I started that discussion so that a group of people could come together share ideas on whether the Memphis leadership and fans spent too many resources on BB at the expense of FB. In light of the fact that it appears reasonable to assume that future BB success could be connected to BCS football, the idea that Memphis is continuing to overweight BB may ultimately be the demise of Memphis athletics. By devaluing BB in order to build FB, my thought was that Memphis may be able to put out a much higher quality product in both FB and BB over the longer term. It was not a flame but an actual discussion that I thought could bring out unique analysis.
Excuse me for trying to bring about more interesting dialogue on this board. And for that reason, I have officially recused myself from the expansion board because of the narrow minded views of the majority of posters that currently infest that part of the BBS forums. It's a sad day when people are so afraid of someone interjecting the concept of broadening other peoples' world views that everyone will go out of their way to silence discourse. I'm sorry you feel that way.

broadening other people's worlds? hahaha don't flatter yourself buddy. You interjected a concept that was so absurd that it isn't even in the realm of possibility.
