More money to other places/things means less money to SS. Was I clear enough?

Unless you are of the belief that we can just print some more dollar bills and all will be fine.

The seniors who are voting Democrat don't care about the long term borrowing costs... they just want their monthly check and their healthcare. Democrats promise that. Like it or not, that voting block is more likely to stay with the Democrats for another 4 years. That was my original point.

As a senior citizen myself, Trump is better for seniors that are concerned about their Social Security checks and their healthcare insurance than Kamala is.

A) Trump has a 4-year track record of NOT impacting their Social Security checks.

B) Trump has stated several times that he will not decrease their Social Security or change the age of eligibility requirement. He has also stated that he would try to remove the tax on Social Security for seniors.

C) Kamala wants to provide health care benefits to MILLIONS of illegals via Medicare which will deplete funds that could otherwise be used for Social Security.

D) Kamala wants to take people's private health insurance away and have everyone on a single payer health care system. A lot of people (including seniors like me) have private healthcare insurance to go with their Medicare insurance.

I know if goes against the narrative, but a mail-in vote does not mean something fraudulent happened or that an additional vote is going to be cast.

It’s true that there isn’t true data to support that the R’s are outperforming.

But the strategy has changed on the Republican side. They are trying to bank votes now instead of hoping they show up on Election Day. Considering that NC is usually red, there is nothing to signify that there will be a flip this year. Probably a margin of 2-3 points.

Not all of the early voting is via mail-in ballots. My wife and I have been going to the local early voting location in our city here in VA the last few years to vote in person. It has always been very quick and much easier than doing it on election day. The mail has gotten so bad compared to what it used to be that we don't want to trust that.

The rest you are likely correct.

The older population, however, worries about social security and medicare (and medicaid as many qualify for both). Republicans haven't helped themselves in that arena in recent years.

I wonder why the older population worries about social security and medicare being cut?

Maybe it has something to do with Harris and Walz lying to older Americans….

From the far right wing publication The Washington Post

No, every Trump budget did not seek to cut Social Security ...

The Washington Post

Claim: “Fact: Trump announced a budget to cut Social Security and Medicare every single year he was in office.”

From last month… President Donald J. Trump's pledge to NOT cut Social Security or Medicare

If we had a media that just reported the news, Democrats would never win another election.

Right there with you…. I don’t know anyone over 62 who is informed who plans to vote Democrats. Maybe older Kentuckians are smarter than others across the Nation. That’s why in 2017 we voted to give Republicans control of the state legislature for the first time in 95 years.

It took Republicans running Lucifer for a Democrat to win the governor’s race in a close race. (I voted for Lucifer because I believe crazy cut the balls off 8 year olds Democrats are worse than Lucifer.)

Thankfully our legislature keeps that idiot Andy Beshear in check by over-riding any bill he tries to veto or push through with his pen.

I will be in Georgia next month making sure seniors get the facts about what Democrats really are.

The Retired Americans Pac, a so-called non-partisan organization that happens to only support Democrats, (funny how that works) posted the above on its site last month.

Their poll doesn’t show older voters overwhelmingly supporting Harris Walz.

Yeah, it's weird. When I was growing up, I thought seniors vote conservative. Come from a more conservative time period & have the money. Then as I got older I learned a lot of young liberals grow up into a lot of senior liberals, we had to have gotten as liberal as we are somehow, right? Then I was looking at how age demographics vote the other day & seniors did still vote more for Trump then Biden. Democrats have been saying for 100 years Republicans are gonna cut SS. We never do. It's a generational lie like they have for global warming they have for the younger generations, they have one for the older generations too & that's SS. Every election you can expect the 'they're gonna throw granny over the cliff'

Republicans cutting SS lie has always been an effective lie that the Democrats have repeatedly used to scare their stupid supporters into voting for them.

I know if goes against the narrative, but a mail-in vote does not mean something fraudulent happened or that an additional vote is going to be cast.

From the article
Quote:The North Carolina State Board of Elections said on Monday that county boards have received more than 207,600 absentee ballot requests for this election, including more than 19,000 requests from military and overseas voters. That compares to over 900,000 at this point in 2020, when Covid-19 drove many to stay home.

Less mail in voting with less Dems participating = bad early math for team blue

Or those Democrats who were concerned about voting in public during Covid aren't any longer. 07-coffee3

Concerned about voting in public during covid?

What in the hell.

In October 2020 I'm watching YouTubeTV...it was still keyed to my old Cincinnati address so. Was watching their local news.

Early voting started and there was a huge line outdoors with everyone masked up and standing 6 feet apart because science...

Only one guy in the entire throng didn't have a mask on and the news crews descended on him to ask what his story was. I recognized the old guy. My 87 year old unvaccinated dad. When the news reporter asked if he was afraid of being in this crowd without a mask he laughed a little and said he wasn't afraid of getting a cold but was a little afraid of having Joe Biden be president.
That's awesome
