Who votes mail-in? Those who are too sick or might become sick (elderly). Deployed military members. Those with jobs, particularly if it is difficult for them to get a day off (such as non-union hourly workers, and those who don't work for the government because government employees typically get election day off). All those groups strongly favor Republicans.

So in the absence of cheating, mail-in votes should strongly favor Republicans.

A lot of people who are sick and/or elderly don't vote Republican because they are worried about losing their healthcare, so I wouldn't make them a shoe in for Trump.

The rest you are likely correct.

The older population, however, worries about social security and medicare (and medicaid as many qualify for both). Republicans haven't helped themselves in that arena in recent years.

Doesn't really matter until he disavows him publicly. Until them, you will see the clips of trump calling him MLK on steroids and MLK times 2.

Harris campaign quickly posts clips of trump praising Robinson

I know if goes against the narrative, but a mail-in vote does not mean something fraudulent happened or that an additional vote is going to be cast.

From the article
Quote:The North Carolina State Board of Elections said on Monday that county boards have received more than 207,600 absentee ballot requests for this election, including more than 19,000 requests from military and overseas voters. That compares to over 900,000 at this point in 2020, when Covid-19 drove many to stay home.

Less mail in voting with less Dems participating = bad early math for team blue

Or those Democrats who were concerned about voting in public during Covid aren't any longer. 07-coffee3

Concerned about voting in public during covid?

What in the hell.

It may be the worst example of a state that would be effected by the “reverse coattail theory”

NC is known for ticket splitting and has a long history of voting for a Democratic governor and Republican President - 2020, 2016, 2004, 2000, 1996, 1992.

Fan fiction. There's literally no credible evidence to support this.

From what I see from you and most of the posters here, again, you simply don't understand how the states do anything...and instead just rely on your propaganda feeding you false narratives and conspiracy theories.

They have mail-in voting everywhere...every state...yet you don't seem to put forth concern one of any issue in a state that's red. That all points to a biased narrative you're trying to paint. 07-coffee3

Yeah...many people did not want to go out and vote in public in 2020. Why does this come as a shock to you? Unless you believe in the ridiculous conspiracy that this was all some plan to steal the election. You know, the big lie.

Early vote is also down from 2022 levels, where the Dems outperformed expectations.

There better be an Election Day surge for Harris.

Do I really have to explain this? Ok. Here goes. Hope you can understand...

More money to other places/things means less money to SS. Was I clear enough?

Unless you are of the belief that we can just print some more dollar bills and all will be fine.

The seniors who are voting Democrat don't care about the long term borrowing costs... they just want their monthly check and their healthcare. Democrats promise that. Like it or not, that voting block is more likely to stay with the Democrats for another 4 years. That was my original point.

Fair enough. But at some point, you can't keep robbing Peter. That guy is going to run out of money at some point.

Even Republican boomers feel the same way. Unfortunately the vast majority of boomers could have reformed the program decades ago by raising retirement age, eliminating the cap, phasing the program out over time, etc. They did nothing but ensure the Ponzi scheme would run its course and screw over their children & grandchildren.

This is an understatement.

There were a large number of NC residents that voted for Trump and Cooper twice.

IMO the only reason the GOP won the governorship in 2012 was because the Dem candidate pissed off the teachers. Don't anger one of your core constituencies with furloughs

I would love for someone to do a study on the Trump/Cooper voter because they are a significant part of the NC voter electorate

Im not even sure what "they want their healthcare" even means.

Don't look now, but fewer and fewer physician practices are even taking Medicare or the crap Advantage plans.... so you might want to whisper in their ear they are well on their way to "losing their healthcare"

The problem the Harris campaign is having the polls aren’t as rosy as they and their minions in legacy media would have you believe. They both need to keep up the charade to make the public believe the election is close enough for them to do what Democrats always do.

Find enough votes to put them over the top in urban areas of swing states.

Conservatives combat this by “finding” additional votes in rural areas.

If cheating happens in either area, all “found” ballots would be ruled invalid.

In October 2020 I'm watching YouTubeTV...it was still keyed to my old Cincinnati address so. Was watching their local news.

Early voting started and there was a huge line outdoors with everyone masked up and standing 6 feet apart because science...

Only one guy in the entire throng didn't have a mask on and the news crews descended on him to ask what his story was. I recognized the old guy. My 87 year old unvaccinated dad. When the news reporter asked if he was afraid of being in this crowd without a mask he laughed a little and said he wasn't afraid of getting a cold but was a little afraid of having Joe Biden be president.
