My grandson and I were in line at Kroger and a guy gets behind us wearing a kamala shirt. Typical lib soy filled dumpy goober.
It was a long a$$ line so we were there for a while.
I had to say something. It was killing me, so I politely said “hey man, are there any good reasons to vote for kamala? Just curious of your opinion.”
Clearly exasperated, he said in the most gay voice imaginable, “because she’s a black woman.”
My grandson started quietly laughing and I just thanked the guy for his answer.
Then the guy said “you look like a Trump supporter, why are you voting for a racist like him?”
And I quietly replied “because I have a brain and I respect the laws in our country. And how exactly is Trump a racist?”
Before the goober could answer, the black guy in front of us said “I’m black, you wanna vote for me? I’m a retired steam fitter and I’d be a better president than that phony.”
The goob proceeded to flip us off and get swish on over to another line.

The retired guy then said to me and my grandson, “people like him are why this country is going to $hit. We better pray there’s more of us than them.”

Crazy experience but I sure hope he’s right. True story.

But honestly, I don’t think it will come down to which side has the most people on it’s team. Virtually all of the really big changes that have taken place in our society occurred without majority support, imho. The key factors were superior political organization, and an unshakable political determination by a dedicated minority/plurality. The majority was either opposed or neutral/apathetic, but gradually adapted after the political verdict was handed down.

There are two young black men in my office at city hall. They are both conservatives and have talked in great length about why. Most of it started with BHO and Biden almost sealed the deal. It was when they tossed him overboard to prop up Harris that they committed fully. They, by their own words, consider themselves free and independent thinkers. I agree with them.

I said about two months back that it would be the height of irony if young and middle aged black males are the salvation of this country of ours.

Honestly this is when you should know you are too involved in politics...

No matter if I agree or disagree if someone asked me questions about politics while I was at a store. I look them straight in the eye and say...."**** off". But then again I give off the don't f'ing talk to me vibe or at least that's what my wife says. Which is most likely true because I have no interest in chit chatting with a complete stranger about their day or family, politics or anything else.
