I don't think it happens. Kamala is dumb, but all of her handlers aren't. No way she risks blowing up whatever chance she has. And she'll blame it on Trump, then keep hiding from the press until the election.

There were hints on Fox that Biden spoke out of turn and dared Trump, and they felt he couldn't back out then.

And also rumors that the Brutuses in the party wanted to see if he would sink or swim before it was too late.

Kamala is a whole different matter. They're stuck with her now. Too late to swap out, so they might not want to risk what they have to assume is the inevitable, if she can't bring notes in.

I agree that the trends of black men in particular not moving much since the Harris campaign, is a bad sign for Democrats. That could still change I suppose, but I doubt it.

Baris said something interesting about his 2016 polling which I wasnt aware of. He said they polled numerous times between July 4 and election day, and the race was very close with Trump ahead of Clinton in slightly more of the polls. Basically, Clinton never had it in the bag as it was being reported. And some of the dems believe that reporting Clinton as being way out in front may have cost her the election by preventing a number of people from even getting out to vote. This is why Halperin was saying that dem insiders are leaking the internal polls to certain people in the media to tell them not to oversell the fake public polls. They dont want to deflate turnout because people "think" she's going to win.

Like I said---Harris was not in the primaries. So her numbers are going to look just just like a primary candidate that suddenly explodes on the scene from the back of the pack and gets a fresh look from voters. At first, the candidate seems interesting and new---but then---as voters learn more---they either stick with the candidate---or more likely---they discover why this candidate was originally way back in the pack......and thats exactly what is happening to Harris. Voters are remembering why she was only able to garner one percent of the vote when she presidential candidate in the 2020 Democrat primaries. I suspect Harris has already seen her high water mark for the campaign. I think Trump "sweeps the leg" in the debate ending any chance of a late Harris rally in October.

My guess is that she does the debate and has a mediocre performance that will be just enough to keep her from falling further as the media declares her the debate winner.
