RE: The 2024 Volleyball thread
We were dominated by Central Arkansas, lost to Little Rock 3-2 and lost to third year in transition Commerce.

Per set victories, we are 3-9.

Not looking good.

RE: The 2024 Volleyball thread
UCA is generally a good squad. Little Rock had moments at the top of the SBC rankings when we shared a home with them. There's no shame with the first two. The Commerce loss is definitely a bad look.

I believe Schindler is the last coaching holdout from the D2 era. She is Tarleton-bred and bleeds purple as much as Misty Wilson did, and we all saw what happened there. She'll be lucky to finish the season.

Softball, women’s tennis, women’s golf and football all are lead by D2 coaches.

Whitten doesn't count, his job is to get us to FBS then he'll be replaced. Pretty sure tennis promoted to HC at start of transition, ironically the only sport that is performing well. Shame women's golf is nowhere near the dynasty they once were under Jerry Doyle.

UTA has got to be happy with both the win and attendance. Good job! The rest of us, not so great.

Yes and No on W Golf and W Tennis. Both programs had long time coaches retire both have knowledge of the WAC invite. So, yes both newcomers coached in D2 but both very briefly.

Don’t keep up with Softball or Baseball really only keep up with these two sports and Football

Don’t forget got Men’s Golf back after moving up

So, there is some credence behind coaching changes for D1.

I am pulling for Whitten. He is by far and away the best Recruiting Coach Tarleton has had. His on the field Coaching ability is still under review.

As someone who has ran a business for decades my advice would be to STOP MICROMANAGING. Recruit talent in your staff and allow them to either sink or swim.

Only make the most important calls. It’s really that simple.

What I see is a HC that wants all control. I hope I’m wrong. That’s the appearance from the outside looking in.

Now back to the miserable season Tarleton is having in VB

UTA dropped a sweep to TCU, lost in four to Rice and swept Denver to close out non-conference.
