Having watched the California Baptist match on Saturday, CBU is a lot better than their record indicates. They had three injured players to start the season, but those players are back in action. They are dangerous.

I mentioned earlier in this thread about them being 0-12 to start conference play. It's clear to me who the best three in conference are. I'd put CBU in the next tier easily.

Disappointing season for ACU. I was hoping for a little better with some new blood.

All of our programs are moving forward, some are moving faster than others, except for volleyball. This year’s team was worse than last year so I am not seeing progress. The stronger all of our athletic programs, the more attractive we will be for FBS conferences. What I don’t know is the inner working of the program. Has she been given the financial resources, recruiting and assistant coaches, to be successful? They moved this year to an upgraded facility in Wisdom Gym.

I would have thought this would have been decided Sunday or Monday of this week. As nothing has happened as of now, my guess is it has been decided she will be back next year.

I don't mean this to sound antagonistic, but how is Wisdom an upgrade?

Have you seen our old volleyball gym? It holds about 700 with horrible lighting and sound.

Wisdom will serve as dedicated volleyball facility once arena is complete. Perfect size for D1 volleyball. Wisdom is definitely "cozy" for a D1 Basketball Gym, but bigger than it appears on TV. With very little effort it could be one of the nicest dedicated volleyball facilities around, I'd imagine.

Are they gonna put up a webcam for viewing the arena construction? as an architect, I get a kick out of watching that stuff, like the arena project at UTA and also at GASO when we were in the sunbelt.

Wisdom for volleyball only, once upgraded as you say, will be a great venue for volleyball only. That could be an intimidating place to play if the crowd is loud and raucous.

What are they going to do with the old side of Wisdom where volleyball now plays and has its locker room?

The old volleyball gym will have its western wall taken out and the weight room will expand. In essence, the weight room doubles in size.
